Trip on Aug 19,2025. Well... - Trip on Aug 19,2025. Well organized trip with Peter at the helm. Smaller group which was good as we kept with timelines. Peter’s lunch recommendation was delicious. Peter provided lots of historical facts and good humour.

An indispensable excursion - Organized by Bohemian_walks, this day in Cesky Krumlov is superb. You first discover the castle of the city to follow with the city itself. At the castle, our guide Philip gives us anecdotes and historical details as we pass through the various courtyards of the castle. Then, free area to visit Cesky Krumlov, a city made only for tourists and which we have quickly toured if we do not come to buy. But the scenery remains beautiful

Picturesque Day trip out of the city. - We had a lovely day getting out into the Czech countryside and visiting this picturesque town. The guide did give rather a lot of information, all in one block as we left Prague but it was good to know more of the history to Prague and Cesky Krumlov. As our tour was still classed as Summer, we found ourselves somewhere for lunch and had free time to explore before having a guided tour of the 'castle'.

Go without o tour - Place is a must to see, but our tour skipped the castle gardens and the tower, so I would go by myself next time. The town is very quaint. Some places don’t accept credit cards so bring some cash.

Wonderful trip - The trip was excellent, except for pick up from hotel. Viator should specify exactly who will come to meet at pick up point, there was no Viator sign board, nor the meeting person description and identification was not mentioned.

Great Place to Visit at Slower Pace - Cesky Krumlov is a great place to take a break and slow down. The palace is definitely worth the trip. Our guide was adequate, have had other guides through Viator who were much more informative. The bus ride was a nightmare - look, if you have a nasty cough and hacking away DON'T GET ON THE BUS!! Two and a half hours on the bus with a group of 6 people coughing and not even covering their mouths was just disgusting and rude.

Pretty town but poorly run Tour - This is a long day so be prepared. Would have been more palatable if we had a better guide but unfortunately she made the whole day at times, unenjoyable. The pick-up info was initially confusing despite several communications before the day, but we managed to get to the right place. Helen introduced herself as our guide and on the way to Cesky Krumlov gave a LONG monotone rundown of some of Pragues history, but her strong accent and lack of expression made it difficult to listen to. On arrival at the Castle, she struggled to walk up the hill with the group and was lagging behind a lot. There were times during her commentary around the Castle grounds that she gave up waiting for some Tour group members and carried on to the next stop without them. She seemed like an annoyed teacher taking the kids out for a kindergarten trip. On a brighter note, the town itself was very quaint and easy to navigate. The views were amazing and the information Helen provided was good, just not delivered well. Interior guide of the Castle was interesting with the local girl who took us around being very knowledgeable. On the three hour bus ride back to Prague, the driver did not have the aircon going and the bus was very stuffy in the afternoon sun, with no rest-stop on the way. Helen spoke also for the whole three hours home: we would have appreciated a break! Would recommend this tour if you would like to see a lovely historic town away from Prague, but perhaps with a different guide.

A great day out of the Prague hussle and bussle but still a lot of tourists. - Was not sure what to expect from this tour given varying reviews, but everything was better than we could hope for. The bus was clean and on time, plus our driver did an excellent job. Our tour guide was great providing a detailed history and commentary during our drive to Krumlov, and our walk through the township. Being UNESCO classified I was expecting to see more historical features and local crafts. What we saw was a lot of old buildings filled with souvenier shops and cafe's catering to the multitude of visitors during a very busy week end. While still well worth the visit, this is another example of the impact of "over tourism" on what is a cultural treasure.

Cesky Krumlov - Travel of 3h going and a little less back. The city is very charming and beautiful. But in a maximum of an hour is seen. I still had lunch on the banks of the river which is a charm. Meanwhile the host to the castle is very long. It should have lasted 10 minutes, but it lasted more than an hour. At the end a tired day

Too long a drive for very little time in Cesky Crumlov - You’re on the bus for 5+ hours round-trip, I have an hour walking tour if you want to take it, two hours free time, then an hour castle tour. Then you drive home. We opted out of the walking tour as well as the castle tour just to have more time in the town. I would recommend people do the castle tour, but skip the walking tour still. The town is cute, but not worth walking around any longer than the two hours. Although if you eat anywhere, it will take you a good two hours waiting on the check and getting service.
