Issyk, meaning “a door” in the Kazakh language, serves as an entrance to the Issyk gorge. This stunning alpine lake is surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, featuring dense forests and expansive fields of flowers. The lake is situated at an elevation of 1760 meters above sea level, within the Issyk gorge of the Trans-Ili Alatau, approximately 70 km east of Almaty.

09:00 – Departure from Almaty to Issyk town
10:00 – Arrival in Issyk town. Visit the Museum of the Golden Man (optional)
10:30-11:30 – Hiking and relaxation by the lake
11:30-12:30 – Return trip to Almaty

The tour can be extended to include a visit to the Tourgen waterfall.
