Two days from Marrakech to Merzouga: a must-do experience! - We did a 2-day excursion from Marrakech to Merzouga and overall it was a very nice experience—quite tiring, but worth it.
The journey is long (around 10 hours each way), so it’s something to be aware of, but our driver, Said Jamai, really helped make it more enjoyable. He was kind, friendly, and always tried to keep a good atmosphere in the group. During the trip, he made an effort to engage with everyone, even singing in Arabic at times to pass the time, which was a nice touch.
He also made sure we stopped at the main points of interest and the best panoramic spots along the way, so we could enjoy the landscapes without feeling rushed.
We traveled in two, and during the Berber evening in the desert camp there was also a small, lighthearted moment where he organized a simple “award” and we received a camel souvenir. It was a funny and the Berber music was really the best way to enjoy the night desert in front of the fire!
Merzouga and the desert camp are definitely worth seeing, and despite the long hours on the road, the trip is well organized and enjoyable: sunset and sunrise in the desert are definitely a reward that makes the long journey worthwhile.
Last but not list: On the way back, he even made a small detour to let us enjoy a spectacular view of Aït Benhaddou, which we really appreciated!

A unique experience filled with wonders and beautiful landscapes - I had an absolutely unforgettable experience on this 2-day desert tour! From start to finish, everything was well organized. The main guide, Said Jamai, lead us to the desert with a trip by bus filled with beautiful scenery and tons of fun on board.
The camel ride through the golden dunes was peaceful and truly magical—it felt like stepping into another world.
Spending the night in the desert camp was the highlight of the trip. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, with delicious food, great company, and a stunning sky full of stars that I’ll never forget. It was the perfect way to disconnect and enjoy nature.
The next morning, the quad biking adventure across the dunes was a fun experience which allowed us to have an amazing view of the dawn among the dunes of the Sahara.
The guides were friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout the journey. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a mix of adventure, culture, and breathtaking scenery. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

The beauty of Sahara - If you are visiting Morocco, do not skip the Sahara. It’s a long drive from Marrakech, but the peace, the culture, and the sheer beauty of the desert are worth every kilometer. The landscape of the Erg Chebbi dunes is breathtaking. You'll get the chance to ride into the sunset on a Camel, through the dunes that change from fiery orange to pale gold as the sun moves is a sight I’ll never forget. After the ride we stayed in a traditional camp with delicious food and traditional Gnawa music by the campfire.
The next day you'll wake up early to see the sun rise over the dunes, in our case reached by renting some quads, in total silence.
For those who are scared by the 10 hours trip, it felt like it flew in jut some hours thanks to our guide, Said Jamai. His energy and friendliness were infectious from day one. Said didn't just drive us; he entertained the group (18 people) with karaoke sessions and great music, making the long distances feel like a party. His kindness and availability were unmatched—he even took us on several extra stops off the beaten path! A magical, five-star experience!

A desert tour that was more comfortable than I imagined - Thank you for the tour the other day. We are also grateful to drivers Zaki and Sa Ber.
It was a 10-hour drive, but it was more comfortable than I had expected and I didn't get motion sickness. The timing of the break was good, and it was also good to see how flexible they were by making extra stops for those who wanted to go to the toilet along the way. Some of them were driving me to the airport on my way home, which I found convenient.
From our prior explanations, we had the impression that it was a gruelling, busy tour, but it wasn’t really that hard of a schedule. On the other hand, it was mainly about travel, and not about stopping at famous tourist spots.
The accommodation in the desert was very comfortable. The rooms were not cold and had their own hot showers and toilets, so the food was buffet style.

Safe Car-Ride - My friend and I booked the 2 day Tour to Erg Chebbi/Sahara. The whole journey was a great experience, so you should definitely try it. Due to our 10 hour drive to the Sahara and back to Marrakesch, we spent a lot of time in the car with our driver Zaki. We had a view stops on the way and he had a lot to tell about the Berber, the history, the places, the nature, just everything. We felt really safe in the car, because even though it was a long ride, Zaki drove concentrated and looked after our needs. At the end he dropped us off near the hotel and made sure we come home safe. All our respect 🙏
The food in the camp was good, the people really friendly, bring warm clothes, the nights are cold. Overall the Sahara is just beautiful
side note: the camels seemed a little sad, maybe just walk with them and don't ride them.
