then we turn north to the Seal colony. Here 70 000 seals can be seen close by and observed. If we are lucky we will find a Jackal in search of something to eat

- This tour is seldom cancelled due to bad weather, it never rains, but we have strong Sandstorms, should it be cancelled you will be offered another time schedule/date or full refund.

- German speaking guides are very scarce. These will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
- Please note due to the scarcity of German guides we cannot guarantee a German speaking guide, in peak season or when a cruise liner is in the Harbour and 2000guests disembark.

A perfect day in nature with Delano - An unforgettable experience in the dunes with Delano ! Passionate about nature, he taught us a lot about the unique features of this environment. Breathtaking landscapes.

Seals & Dunes - Volker our guide arrived promptly & was excellent throughout the day demonstrating his excellent local knowledge of wildlife, nature & history. He gave us all a great experience throughout the day & always put safety first without compromising excitement/ fun. En route to the dunes we saw flamingos & had a brilliant experience kayaking with seals who were just unbelievably playful ( thanks Oliver who took the kayak ride). The drive along the beach was exhilarating butting up against the incoming waves. On arrival at the dunes we were given the opportunity to ‘back out’ as some guests can get cold feet when they see the dunes. With a massive yes we set up driving up & down some incredibly steep dunes but always felt safe. The views from Kodak point ( no guesses for the name) are stunning. The lunch provider was just enough ( cold buffet). If you want a bucket trip adventure this should be on it - great day & thanks Volka

Amazing experience, you will love it! - Delano gave us an excellent experience. We loved our day out and appreciated the information Delano gave us about the history and nature of the area. He made the day entertaining and fun and we would highly recommend this tour and choosing Delano as your tour guide.

Awesome Tour 10/10 - Tour with Dennis was wonderfull. Really good drive in the dunes, a lot of fun and laughter. Also the Food in the end was delicous

Don't miss this! - This was a dream come true! My guide, Dennis, was an excellent sand dune driver and super knowledgeable about the local area, animals, geology and history. On top of being loads of fun, Dennis was generous and chivalrous...letting me where his coat when the wind got cold. Highly recommended to anyone coming to Namibia, even if you only have a few days like I did.

We had an absolutely great Sandwich Harbour tour in Namibia! Our guide was not only extremely competent and knew an exciting answer to every one of our questions, but also really brought the ride to life with his humor and many entertaining anecdotes.
The views from the dunes were simply breathtaking – an experience you won’t forget anytime soon. Another highlight was the delicious lunch directly on the beach, which rounded off the tour perfectly. Kayaking with the seals was rather uncomfortable due to the weather and poor visibility but still well organized.
We can highly recommend our guide and the Sandwich Harbour Part – an unforgettable experience!

Amazing experience we discovered an unimaginable desert of dunes with animal life and became aware - Thank you for this extraordinary experience in desert study. We would never have been able to drive in these conditions and we were surprised to see Oryx and springboks antelopes. Superb slide experience in dunes .thank you Delano

Stephan - the very best tour guide ! Breathtaking experience ! - We were privileged to be taken by Stephan on our trip to the Salt Works , Pelican Point and Sandwhich Harbour . Words cannot do justice to just how amazing this tour is . Stephan was incredibly insightful and was able to supply us with a wealth of knowledge . He was very experienced in his driving and we had a blast dune bashing with him ! Around every corner is another sight that is awesome and breathtaking ! It was out of this world ! We had such a perfect day with Stephan, laughed a lot ! We recommend this tour 110%

Dennis was amazing! - The Sandwich Harbour Tour was a great experience overall, thanks mainly to our driver and guide Dennis, who made the day very special. He was not only extremely professional and safe to travel (which is important for the sometimes steep dune rides!), but also incredibly friendly, funny and full of exciting information about the region, nature and wildlife. You can tell that he loves his work – it has spread to the whole group.
The landscape itself is of course spectacular: The contrast between desert and Atlantic is simply unique. The trips along the dunes directly by the sea were particularly impressive – a real highlight!
But what clouds the overall impression is unfortunately the quite high price of the tour. Even though it is known that such excursions are logistically complex in remote areas, the Price quality ratio does not seem entirely consistent – especially compared to other activities in Namibia. A bit more content or a longer dwell time at the main spots might have made the difference here.
