Journey to Jinja for a Sunset Boat Safari on the Nile, Exploring the Source of the Nile via Sezibwa Falls & Mabira Forest Reserve
Jinja - Begin the day with breakfast before driving through Kampala, heading east along the Kampala-Jinja highway to Jinja, the home of the Source of the Nile. Along the way, enjoy views of coffee, tea, and sugar plantations, as well as vibrant roadside fruit and vegetable markets.
The first optional stop is at Sezibwa Falls. The name “Ssezibwa” is a local expression meaning “something endless.” These falls are a significant cultural and spiritual site for the Baganda people and are among the top attractions in Uganda. Managed by the Buganda culture and tourism department, Sezibwa Falls feature sharp-edged rocks and a large pool below. The river Ssezibwa flows from the falls to Lake Kyoga. The area is home to small primates like Vervet and red-tailed monkeys, as well as snakes such as the African cobra, green mambas, and horned adder. Other wildlife includes otters, tadpoles, mongooses, and wild cats.
Mabira Central Forest Reserve - Alternatively, make a second optional stop at Mabira Rainforest, the largest forest in Central Uganda. Enjoy zip-lining or a two-hour trek to track the habituated Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, observe numerous birds, monkeys, and squirrels, and savor the aroma of an African jungle.
After optional activities at Mabira Central Forest Reserve, return to the main road and drive to Jinja for lunch, followed by a sunset boat safari to the spot where John Speke discovered the source of the Nile.
After the sunset boat safari, check in to Nile River Camp, Brisk Hotel Triangle, or Afro Smile Hotel & Guest House for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lunch, dinner, and bottled drinking water are included.

Besides rhinos, the ranch hosts a variety of bird species and other wildlife, making it a popular destination for adventure seekers.

In the afternoon, visit the Karamojong/IK Community. Spend time in a Karamojong/IK village learning about their traditional lifestyle, kraals, dances, manyattas, and colorful blankets. Enjoy an evening with the Karamojong & IK people, gaining insight into their way of life and beliefs. By the end of the tour, you’ll understand why their pride makes them slow to embrace globalization.

Murchison Falls National Park - Enjoy a safari breakfast before dawn to start the morning game drive at sunrise. This is the best time for wildlife spotting as animals are most active during the “golden hours.” Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species, and with luck, a lion or leopard.
Return for lunch, then embark on a three-hour boat safari upstream on the Victoria Nile to the falls, passing breathtaking scenery, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, water birds, and animals along the Nile. The boat will drop you near the waterfall for a hike (1-1.5 hrs) to the top of the falls.
Enjoy a short sunset game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinking water are included.
Top of the Falls Walk & Transfer to Kibale National Park for a Guided Walk in Nature at Crater Lakes & Plantation Walk
Fort Portal - Enjoy your last sunrise and breakfast in this beautiful national park with a walk to the top of Murchison Falls, lasting about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Marvel at the powerful falls, where the 50m-wide Nile is funneled into a 7-meter cleft in the rocks, dropping 40 meters with a thunderous roar, creating a rainbow and impressive spray.
Begin your journey from Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park through Fort Portal town, resting in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. Enjoy spectacular views of the mountains and tea fields, with several scenic stopovers before reaching Fort Portal for lunch at Fort Portal Garden Restaurant.
Kibale National Park - In the afternoon, after lunch, embark on a guided Crater Lakes & Plantation Walk. Guided Walk in Nature at Amabere Caves & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an Afternoon (Sunset) Game Drive

Queen Elizabeth National Park - After the guided walk, embark on an exciting drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, situated in the shadows of Mt. Rwenzori, with several stops for equator experiences and landscape viewing before reaching the park.
Arrive in the afternoon, have lunch, and embark on an afternoon game drive to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, bush pigs, and antelope families.
After the game drive, check in to The Bush Lodge, Pumba Safari Lodge, or Tembo Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Chimpanzee Trekking at Kyambura or Kalinzu Forest Reserve, Afternoon Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel & Sunset Game Drive
Kyambura Game Reserve (Kyambura Gorge) - Start the day early with breakfast before heading to Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park or Kalinzu Forest Reserve for a Chimpanzee Tracking/Trekking experience. Follow an experienced guide into the forest to observe these fascinating creatures up close. Watching them interact, groom, play, and forage is an incredible experience. While the chances of encountering chimpanzees are high at 90%, it is never 100% guaranteed as they are wild animals with their own wills and minds. The guide will provide detailed explanations about primates and all forest fauna and flora, ensuring an informative and enjoyable walk.
Kazinga Channel - Return for lunch, then head to Kazinga Channel for an exciting boat safari when the sun is high and animals gather at the river for a drink. Spot numerous hippos, herds of elephants, and buffalos bathing in the cooling waters. It will be a wonderful experience.
After the boat safari on Kazinga Channel, enjoy a sunset game drive before returning to your preferred accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinking water are included.
Morning (Sunrise) Game Drive at Ishasha Sector to Search for Tree Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi or Mgahinga

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After the game drive, travel to the “Switzerland of Africa” area known as the Kigezi Highlands, with its terraced hillsides and winding roads. Enjoy spectacular views of the mountainous countryside, offering incredible photography opportunities. Notably, this “impenetrable forest” protects over 400 gorillas, approximately half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups that visitors can track.
Arrive in the late afternoon and check in to Gorilla Bluff Lodge, Ride 4 a Woman, or Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinking water are included.
Mountain Gorilla Tracking/Trekking & Batwa/Pygmies Community Experience
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast, hike to the park headquarters, just meters from the lodge, for a briefing by UWA guides before transferring to the starting point for gorilla tracking. Enjoy gorilla tracking in Bwindi, which has the highest concentration of gorillas given its small size. The search for gorillas takes you through the thick, untamed rainforest, scrambling over mossy rocks and through deep undergrowth. Watching gorillas in their natural habitat is an unforgettable experience. Experienced ranger guides will share information about the history and lifestyle of these gorillas.
After gorilla tracking, visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditions, including traditional dance, beer making, and fire setting, before checking in to Travellers Rest Hotel in Kisoro or Golden Monkeys Guest House for dinner and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bottled drinking water are included.
Golden Monkey Tracking/Trekking & Canoe/Boat Ride on Lake Bunyonyi
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park - Similar to gorilla trekking, embark on Golden Monkey tracking, starting with a pre-tracking briefing at the park headquarters. Hiking through the forests to see Golden Monkeys is less strenuous than gorilla tracking, as they live in lower areas, so tracking takes less than three hours. Spend one hour with the Golden Monkey family, taking photographs and observing their behavior. There is no minimum number of visitors, and the age limit is 12 years.
Lake Bunyonyi - In the afternoon, after lunch, enjoy a canoe ride on scenic Lake Bunyonyi. This lake is unique for its 29 islands, including the floating island and the punishment island, where young girls who became pregnant before marriage were abandoned.
Check in to Itambira Island, Seeds of Hope Hotel, or Bunyonyi Overland Resort for dinner and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinking water are included.
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for an Afternoon (Sunset) Game Drive

Arrive in the afternoon, have lunch, and embark on an afternoon game drive, spotting zebras, buffalos, impalas, warthogs, and waterbucks. Bird enthusiasts will enjoy sightings of malachite kingfishers, African fish eagles, blue-headed weavers, Rufous long-tailed starlings, herons, pelicans, the rare shoebill, and cormorants.
After the game drive, check in to Hyena Hill Lodge or Eagles’ Nest Lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinking water are included.
Morning (Sunrise) Walking Safari or Guided Walk in Nature, Equator Experience & Departure

From this vantage point, enjoy a great view of nine of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo National Park.
Entebbe - After the walking safari (guided walk in nature), your guide will drive you across beautiful scenery back to Kampala or Entebbe, or drop you off at Entebbe International Airport three hours before your departure time, with a stopover at the equator for an equator experience and photo moments.
Please ensure your flight departure is after 6 pm at the earliest. For flights departing before 6 pm, an extra night in Entebbe can be arranged at an additional cost.
