Trip of a Lifetime! - My son and I recently returned from a 10-day trip to Uganda and it was amazing! It was a trip of a lifetime! Everything went as planned from the time we were picked up at the airport in Entebbe to when we were dropped off to return home. I researched several tour companies and so glad I decided on Lulu Safaris. Elvis, the owner, was friendly and accomodating during the entire booking process. He answered all my questions and responded to my messages quickly. He even sent me their operating license and certificates with the Uganda Tourism Board when I requested them. Our guide was Derrick and he was fantasic! He was very friendly and made us feel safe from start to finish. He drove my son and I over 3,000 miles in Uganda and seemed to know everybody. Derrick's driving skills were second to none. He always answered our questions and knew the best spots for observing wldlife. While driving to our next destination, Derrick would even stop and get us fresh pinapple or "chicken on a stick". Derrick was not only a great guide, but we consider him a friend. He even messaged us after we left to make sure we got home safely and to share some photos. In summary, this was a "bucket list" trip for me and it was better than I ever imagined. The gorilla trek was definitely the highlight but everything else was terrific also. We saw so many animals and the people of Uganda are very friendly. The accomodations were wonderful and the food was excellent. I highly recommend Lulu Safaris and ask for Derrick to be your guide. You won't be disappointed!

An amazing adventure through Ugandas national Parks on a private tour with tour guide Samuel from Lulu Safaris. - An absolute experience of a lifetime. A missed flight from Doha meant we arrived on Entebbe half a day later than planned. This was no problem for Lulu safaris who arranged to pick us up at the airport. We were met at the airport by our brilliant guide Samuel. Samuel was quick to reassure us that he had rearranged a few timings over the first 2 days to ensure we didn’t miss out on anything during our trip. Over the next 8 days we saw things that we could only ever have imagined before. A real up close and personal adventure with Ugandas wildlife. Whether it be watching herds of elephants pass by us, up close with Rhinos, boating past bathing hippos and crocodiles or watching a group of chimpanzees in the forest the trip brought excitement at every turn, brought to us by our guide Samuel who seemed really proud to bring Uganda to us. There were so many close sightings of these animals that great memories were created by just using our phones for pictures. Along the way we stayed at a number of lodges who were always welcoming and made sure we were always over fed. The highlight of the trip tho was definitely trekking the rainforest and spending an hour in the presence of a Gorilla troop. To be so close to these amazing animals and watching their babies play just feet from us was truly the most amazing experience. The only negative from our whole experience was the lack of communication from Lulu safaris in the weeks leading up to our holiday which caused a little apprehension before we left home, a little more attention to detail in this area would have been welcomed. Overall tho we couldn’t recommend Lulu Safaris high enough. They delivered a truly wonderful experience travelling through Uganda. And last of all a massive shout out to our amazing guide Samuel who brought this all together as an amazing private tour. Dinner won’t be same not sharing our table with him. Thank you. Webale Samuel

A wonderful and unforgettable journey - Great experience! We saw a lot of animals thanks to trekking and numerous safaris, also held at different times (night game drive not to be missed) and thanks to the availability of our guide Samuel. Expert and very passionate, he allowed us to really spot many species and also to appreciate particular and beautiful birds. It made us fully appreciate all the beauty enclosed in this Pearl of Africa! The experience with the gorillas was really impressive, we didn't think we would be so close to them and watching them for about an hour was wonderful. The organization was excellent in all respects, even with any changes to the program according to the needs of the moment. We stayed in excellent facilities, with a lot of attention to health and safety and in all we found warm hospitality and excellent cuisine. We definitely recommend Lulu safaris for this tour, very complete and with experiences of various kinds that allow you to live a truly magnificent and unforgettable journey!

Pearl of Africa with Lulu Safaris - If you are planning to visit Uganda, Lulu Safaris is the best option. We made the trip with a group of 8 friends (55-60 years old) Elvis and his team designed a tailor-made tour for us through the best of Uganda (Murchinson Falls NP, Kibale NP, Queen Elisabeth NP, Bwindy NP and Lake Bunyonyi). The highlights of the tour were: -Big Five and boat tour to Murchinson Falls, the sunset was magical. -Monitoring the friendly chimpanzees in Kibale. -Animal sightings in Queen Elisabeth and the Equator line. -The highlight of the trip was tracking gorillas in the impenetrable forest of Bwindy, probably the best money spent in my life. -I would not like to forget to mention the wonderful views of Lake Bunyonyi. We made the trip in two comfortable TTs in very good condition and the quality of the hotels chosen, much better than we expected. Finally, I would just like to highlight and thank the work of Dennis and Victor, the Spanish-speaking guides, and Brian and Frank, who with their work and friendliness made the trip easier for us.

UGANDA 💚🇺🇬 TRIP - Our trip to Uganda with Lulu Safaris was simply amazing. From the first moment, everything flowed perfectly. We were picked up promptly at the airport and we travelled the country by car in complete safety, enjoying spectacular scenery. Although there were minor changes to the programme, they were resolved quickly and effectively, demonstrating the professionalism of his team. The hotels were another strength: all very clean, with a careful atmosphere and excellent food. We opted for superior accommodations that exceeded our expectations in comfort and style. However, best of all was the human team that accompanied us. We had two drivers and two guides who spoke fluent Spanish and made us feel at home. I want to make special mention of Brian, a young driver with admirable experience, and Victor, a lovely guide, always attentive and willing to help. Both of them, with their constant smile and professionalism, made this trip unforgettable. Thank you, Lulu Safaris, for this experience! 💚 Uganda, a country that will be forever in my heart. For sure because of this amazing country and what it has to offer but what truly made our trip so special was our guide Audence - he knows the country like his back pocket - finds the big 5 and spots a bird from miles away!! Once in a lifetime safari with Audence and Simon to see the big 6 (see review), Rhino, Chimpanzee and Gorilla trekking - 8 Day Safari with LuLu safaris, guided by Audence and Simon. Firstly our guides were incredible. I would definitely recommend requesting them in advance if you book with LuLu safaris. They were amazing at spotting wildlife, really easy to get along with and we hope to remain friends (we still message now weeks after we came home), very knowledgeable about the wildlife and local customs, full of facts, happy positive people and extremely flexible changing the plan where a better option was available or if requests or needed for any reason at all. We started out tour with the Ziwa rhino sanctuary and walked on foot to get a close encounter with 3 sets and a total of 12 rhinos. We were blown away that we did this on foot and got so close. On the same day we went up to Murchison falls national park and saw the waterfalls and river at sunset. We got time the next day to take a river safari to see hippos and crocodiles. We then spent time at the national park and saw 4 of the big 5 and even had an evening encounter with hyenas. We didn’t think we could get and more lucky. After this we had time in queen elizabeth national park and saw all the big 5. Our guides going the extra mile with hours of driving to track one down. We also got up close and personal with two male lions and had our own private spot with them for about 10 minutes until another car turned up. After this we went chimpanzee trekking. After two attmepts and 10km of trekking we had only seen one or two chimps in the far distance and that was our time up. However the ranger wasn’t happy and arranged with the national park office and our guides to come back after lunch and try again. This was no problem for our amazing guides who changed the plan without a moments hesitation. And the next 4km trek we had the most amazing encounter with a group of chimpanzees that have been filmed on the BBC planet earth program. Again we felt so incredibly lucky. Off down south we went to the Bwindi impenetrable forest for our gorilla trekking. On the way we had another lake/river safari and had the most amazing time seeing beautiful birds, hippos and over 100 elephants coming and going. We just didn’t expect to see so many. We got to stop and relax watching them all drink, play and trumpet. On the day of the gorilla trek were allocated a group that started with an incredibly challenging hike. They look at the abilities and any requests people have made and assign the groups accordingly. Some had a long drive but short trek. We had no drive but a long trek with a big elevation change. However it was really worth it. We had just over an hour with a group that included a tree felling silver back, two tiny babies and a female that strolled past and brushed against the leg of my partner. We just couldn’t believe what we had experienced. Due to our flight times our guides changed some of itinerary to accommodate more safari experiences and actually get us to the airport on time. Changing accommodation to suit the day before, wanting to give us the best experience possible. They would answer all our questions, stop whenever we wanted to. Help us buy stuff from the locals and stop for all the amazing photos. Honestly they were incredible. On the drive to the airport their binocular vision spotted something in the distance. So they stopped, reversed and got the actual binoculars out to show us a distant bird. A very rare shoebill. It looked like something from the Jurassic period. Our guides told us we can now go home and tell everyone “we saw the big 6 in Uganda”. We did the entire time in a tourist 4WD van. If possible I would request to do it in the Land Cruiser as the roads are very bumpy. I’m not sure how Audence managed to drive along some of the roads it was a sight to be seen and felt…the African massage. Lucky to not have many biting flies at the time of year we were there but still take lots of bug spray as they are around. We are both vegetarian and have the rare bit of fish. We were amazed at how well catered they were for vegetarians. The food was honestly really good everywhere we went. One more recommendation would be to probably have a bit more time there. It was absolutely jam packed with amazing experiences and got better and better a day to relax and enjoy the scenery would have been nice. Visit Uganda and book LuLu with Audence and Simon as guides. You won’t be disappointed.

It was worth being there! - Yes... being back in Europe we still want to go back to Uganda with its nice climate and exoticism... We understand that everyday life in this country is not as nice as it looks to tourists, but it is already in almost every tourist trip. The moments with Lulu Safari in Uganda were great..even despite the fact that I suddenly fell ill with a high temperature (advice-wear masks at airports)-Lulu Safaris reacted quickly and changed the route, arranging extra days of stay in other hotels... Already in the first days we saw almost all the big animals - rhinoceroses, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, hippopotamuses, chimpanzees.. we were not lucky with the representatives of the cat family, but probably the break in illness stopped us.. we did not complete the whole program... About currency-it's take some time to understand UGX amount at USD or EUR, at the end of January 1 USD was approx. 3800 UGX, it's time for mathematic :) Thanks to the guide Samuel - a very responsive, knowledgeable and professional guide, apparently the whole team with Elvis Masiga at the head is like that! During the trip, everything went exactly, the accommodations are great, the food is even too great, the level of organization of the trip is much better than in some European countries... We plan to return to gorilla trekking, which we didn't do on this trip :) Oh Uganda, Land of Beauty!
