Journey to Zziwa for Rhino Tracking and Continue to Murchison NP

Murchison Falls National Park - After breakfast, the journey begins with a transfer to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a successful conservation initiative aimed at saving Uganda’s nearly extinct rhino population. Visitors now have the opportunity to see rhinos thanks to this effort. At Zziwa, enjoy an hour of on-foot rhino tracking. Following this, travel to Masindi for a lunch break. After lunch, continue to the booked accommodation in Murchison NP for an overnight stay. You may choose to go on a game drive before heading to the accommodation, or proceed directly to check in and relax.

Explore Murchison NP with Morning and Afternoon Game Drives

Murchison Falls National Park - Enjoy a full day of game viewing in the park, home to diverse wildlife such as buffaloes, Jackson hartebeests, elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, and hyenas. These animals roam the savannah grasslands, creating a stunning landscape for game viewing. To avoid a long drive back to the lodge, consider having lunch at Red Chilli. After lunch, continue with the second part of the game viewing. After a fulfilling day, return to the lodge to freshen up, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Visit the Top of the Falls and Transfer to Kibale Forest NP

Kibale National Park - After breakfast, visit the top of the falls to admire the breathtaking beauty of Murchison Falls. Then, embark on a scenic drive to the edge of Kibale Forest National Park, passing through villages, lush countryside, and tea plantations. Upon arrival, check in and relax at your accommodation.

Chimp Tracking in Kibale Forest, Lunch, and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Start with breakfast and a briefing at the rangers’ post on chimp trekking guidelines. Proceed to trek the chimps in Kibale Forest with an experienced ranger-guide. Spend an hour observing the chimpanzees before returning to the lodge for lunch. Afterwards, head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Optionally, if time permits, enjoy a brief afternoon-evening game drive.

Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Trip on Kazinga Channel

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Begin the day with breakfast and a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, looking for Cape buffaloes, elephants, lions, and possibly leopards. Return to the accommodation for rest and lunch. After lunch, take a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, observing wildlife like hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, as well as various bird species. After the boat trip, choose to either return to the lodge to rest or go for a brief late afternoon game drive before returning.

Relaxed Breakfast, Drive to Ishasha Sector, and Connect to Bwindi NP

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before traveling to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for tree-climbing lions. Spotting these lions is a memorable experience, with a 60-70% chance of seeing them. Continue to the accommodation at the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, check in and relax, preparing for the gorilla trekking experience the next day.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest, Return, and Leisure Time

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast, head to the rangers’ post for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Enter the forest for an adventure in the spectacular rainforest, with its dramatic, steeply forested landscape. Spend 4-8 hours trekking, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once a gorilla group is located, enjoy an hour in their presence. Return to the accommodation to rest after the trek.

Transfer to Lake Mburo NP and Enjoy an Afternoon Game Drive

Lake Mburo National Park - After a relaxed breakfast, travel to Lake Mburo NP, a compact gem near the highway connecting Entebbe/Kampala to western Uganda’s parks. Despite being the smallest savannah park, it hosts numerous bird species and animals like giraffes, zebras, impalas, and leopards. Check in and rest before a late afternoon-to-evening game drive to see the park’s inhabitants. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Morning Walking Safari and Return to Entebbe for Flight

Entebbe - Enjoy an early breakfast and a morning park walk in Lake Mburo with an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. Encounter zebras, giraffes, elands, and other wildlife up close. After the walk, return to the accommodation for checkout and travel to Entebbe airport for your flight (1800hrs or later). Stop at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe for photos and souvenir shopping if desired.
