Morning Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - At 6:30 am, after enjoying breakfast, the operator will be ready for a transfer to Bwindi. The journey follows the Kampala-Kabale Highway, covering approximately 512 km in about 9 hours. Lunch will be enjoyed en-route at Ntungamo before proceeding to the park. Upon arrival, check into the lodge, relax, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight.

Morning Gorilla Trekking

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - At 6:30 am, after breakfast, the operator will pack lunch and head to the information center for a 7:00 am briefing. During the briefing, the dos and don’ts will be explained, and groups of eight will be formed, each assigned to different gorilla families. The trek through creepers and undergrowth with guides to find the Giant Mountain Gorillas will then begin. This trek can last from 2 hours to a full day. The dense, steeply forested landscape is crisscrossed by numerous animal paths, providing access to trekkers. There are opportunities to spot various other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkey, De Brazza monkey, pottos, Demidoff’s Galago, spectacled Galago, baboons, chimpanzees, and more. Bird species like Chapin’s flycatchers, montane oriole, Rwenzori bats, and strange weaver birds may also be seen. The rare tree species offer a true African jungle experience. An hour will be spent with the gorillas before trekking back.

Morning Guided Forest Nature Walk

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After an early breakfast at 6:30 am, the operator will head to the information center to begin the trail. The Kashasaha forest trail offers a chance to explore one of Uganda’s most beautiful tropical rainforests. Bwindi forest offers more than just gorilla trekking, with opportunities for primate and bird sighting. This fascinating 13 km trail starts from the park offices and proceeds down a steep slope through villages to the park buffer zone. The route passes the junction of two rivers within the forest, and after a further 25-30 minutes ascent, the Ivy Trail is reached. This trail takes approximately 5 hours from Nkuringo to Buhoma and 6 hours from Buhoma to Nkuringo. The operator will experience the wonders of nature within the tropical rainforest, including monkey species, birds, flowers, rivers, butterflies, and more. Afterward, relax, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight.

Morning Transfer to Kampala - Equator Experience at Kayabwe

Uganda Equator - At 6:30 am, after breakfast, the operator will be transferred back to Entebbe to catch the departure flight. A stopover at Kayabwe for lunch and the Equator experience is included. This well-known landmark is a must-visit for those wishing to witness the Equator experiment, take photos, and visit local craft shops for souvenir shopping. Experiments conducted here demonstrate the difference between the two hemispheres using water and a funnel. Water drains from the funnel in a clockwise motion in the northern hemisphere and counterclockwise in the southern hemisphere, with the temperature remaining largely constant throughout the year. After the experience, the journey to Entebbe International Airport will continue.
