Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls NP
Murchison Falls National Park - After breakfast, the Uganda safari journey heads to the northeastern part of Uganda. En route to Murchison Falls Park, a stopover in Nakasongora is made to begin the search for the BIG FIVE. At Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you will track the only remaining white rhinos on foot. Lunch will be enjoyed here before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park.
Murchison Falls NP, Game Drive & Boat Safari
Murchison Falls National Park - Following an early breakfast, embark on a game drive through the stunning savanna grasslands. Expect to see giraffes, buffaloes, various antelope species, elephants, warthogs, hyenas, and possibly lions and leopards. After the exhilarating views, return to the lodge for lunch. Post-lunch, enjoy a boat trip on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls.
Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest
Kibale National Park - This day offers an African countryside road trip, taking approximately 8 hours, providing rare countryside views and an experience of Uganda’s roads. Depart Murchison Falls National Park via the Rift Valley escarpment road, offering spectacular views over Lake Albert to DR Congo and West Nile, passing through Biso, Hoima, Kenjojo, and reaching Fort Portal for overnight accommodation in Kibale Forest National Park.
Kibale Forest Chimpanzee Tracking
Kibale Forest National Park - The day begins at 6:30 AM with a briefing at Kanyancha trailhead. Trekking may last between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the chimpanzees’ movements. Once located, spend an hour observing them in their natural habitat. During tracking, spot various animal species like the Red Colobus, Black and White Colobus, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, Olive Baboon, Red-tailed Monkey, L’Hoest’s Monkey, and various bird species.
Kibale to Queen Elizabeth NP
Queen Elizabeth National Park - After an early breakfast, there is an optional visit to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a nature walk. Rich in biodiversity and beautiful scenery, the wetland is a birder’s paradise with about 138 species. Located outside the park in Magombe Swamp, it hosts eight primate species, including the black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed, L’Hoest’s, and blue monkeys, and olive baboons. Bushbucks and mongooses can also be found here. The sanctuary was established to preserve the unique environmental features and is managed by the local community. Later, depart Kibale Forest for Queen Elizabeth National Park, covering 1978 sq. km in western Uganda. It boasts a diverse ecosystem with beautiful African savanna plains and fertile wetlands, home to big game, 10 primate species, and numerous bird species.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Kazinga Channel - The day starts early with a visit to the Uganda Kobs mating grounds, hoping to see predators targeting the unsuspecting antelopes. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife in their natural habitat before returning to the lodge for lunch. In the early afternoon, the safari driver will transfer you for a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. The 40m wide channel offers stunning views of hundreds of hippos along the banks and various bird species as you cruise west towards Lake Edward.
Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable NP
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - The safari takes a turn from open savanna grasslands to dense impenetrable rainforest. From Queen Elizabeth National Park, travel southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable Park. What once appeared as a sea of thick forest now resembles an isolated island amid cultivated land due to human activity. After the journey, check into the hotel and prepare for the highlight of the Uganda safari.
Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - The highlight of the Explore Uganda Safari Adventure begins with an early start at 6:00 AM. After breakfast, arrive at the trailhead for the gorilla tracking briefing. At 8:00 AM, tracking commences. Upon finding the gorillas, spend an hour observing and learning from them. The time spent in the forest varies daily based on weather, gorilla movements, and other factors.
Bwindi Impenetrable – Lake Bunyonyi
Lake Bunyonyi - Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi for an overnight stay on Uganda’s most beautiful lake.

Lake Bunyonyi - Savor the morning breeze on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. After breakfast, embark on a boat ride and later visit the Batwa community.
Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park - After breakfast, travel to Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy a game drive or a boat trip on the lake in the afternoon. In the evening, partake in an evening game drive. Lake Mburo is one of the two national parks with zebras and the only one with impalas in Uganda. There are no elephants and lions, allowing for walking safaris.
