Amazing Tour! - Jane was very knowledgeable about both the history and the present day in Ennis! We walked many streets and learned so much of the hidden
treasures. I only wished it was longer and included a cup of tea!

Ennis Historical Tour Not to Be Missed - I’ve been going to Ennis for many years as I have family there. This time I decided to actually learn about the town. Dr. O’Brien’s tour was great. My cousin and I learned the significance of many places we had previously just passed by. Dr O’Brien’s tour brought Ennis to life! Highly recommend!

Wonderful walking tour with Dr. Jane O'Brien - We had a wonderful time on the Ennis Walking Tour with Dr. Jane O'Brien. Jane was full of stories and historical information on the town of Ennis, as well as Irish culture in County Clare. She was engaging, fun, and witty as we walking through a number of sections of historical Ennis. Jane answered all of our questions and encouraged us to explore beyond her walk. We ended up seeing her later at the Clare Museum, which she encouraged us to go to, where we also had a lovely chat with Carmel who works at the Ennis Tourist Information Office inside the Clare Museum. We highly recommend Jane's tour! And visit to the Clare Museum.

Great introduction to Ennis - Great introduction to Ennis (and Ireland since we just arrived)! Jane walked us among the streets as she described the history of Ennis and pointed out historical buildings. Highly recommended!

Ennis Walking Tours - A lot more than just sightseeing! - Jane gave us an interesting and educational tour. She takes you beyond the typical sightseeing spots and explains how everything was, and how it came to be what is now Ireland today.
Jane explains what Ireland was like when King Henry VIII took over and as we walked through Ennis we learned not only about what life was like throughout the centuries, but how everything evolved into the Ireland of today and what role the town of Ennis played in that evolution.

See Ennis with Jane O'Brien. She's the best! - We had one day in Ennis, Ireland, and booked a walking tour with Jane. O'Brien. A few days before our trip one member of our group of 4 broke his leg. He was walking with crutches. Unfazed, Jane led us through the alleyways of Ennis, stopping at landmarks to explain the architecture and history. She knows a lot and shares it in a compelling way.

A portal to the lives of my ancestors. - My ancestors were from rural County Clare and I was keen to see and learn more of the market town that would have played an important part in their lives. After visiting the Clare Museum, we met Jane in the courtyard outside and embarked on a walking tour covering landmarks and history from the medieval O’Briens through to present day events. Jane is a qualified historian and very personable. I ended the tour with a good understanding of the history, culture, society and economy of the town and how it would have shaped my ancestor’s lives. I’m so grateful to Jane for sharing her knowledge and time with us and I highly recommend her to you.
