Great experience with David from Brook Tours of Windermere. - My wife and I are from Australia and organised a private tour with David. We're so pleased we did; we found him to be extremely knowledgeable and had a thoroughly enjoyable day with him. He told us about the history of the different places we visited, took us to some special unexpected sites, and also a couple of sites we specifically asked about. We found him to be an excellent tour guide and can not speak highly enough of the tour and David's coordination of it. He added extra little touches from his own research, such as old photos of some of the sites, so it gave more context and made the history come alive.

Excellent overview of Lake District - David was an excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable about the area and history. He has supplemental photos and information that add depth to the tour information, giving us a very unique picture of the development of the Lake District. It's a full 6 hour itinerary, so have your camera and snacks ready!

A must do tour in the Lake District. - David, our driver and as well as being our tour guide, was excellent at his job. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny guy. You can tell he enjoys his job as he does it from his heart.
Families as well as small groups will enjoy his company as he knows very well how to communicate with different people.
We very much enjoyed this tour. Thank you David for making our Lake District stay a cherished for life.

David was exceptional. He... - David was exceptional. He went above and beyond to deliver us the perfect Lake District tour including all of the highlights We were able to do more than I expected and never felt rushed. David was incredibly knowledgeable about the area. I cannot recommend him enough for this tour!!! Whole experience exceeded my expectations!

Great guide, great day! - Our first trip to the Lake District and after a 6 hour tour with David we are in love! So many gorgeous views and a wealth of information, punctuated with warmth and humor - so much so that the day flew by! David was very interested in giving us the best experience possible, including an impromptu switch up as he learned of what sights we had already seen! Even then, there was no shortage of interesting conversation and facts! We’ll be sure to recommend Brook tours to all who have to sit through our vacation pictures!

Probably the highest rated review I will ever give. - My wife spent some considerable time researching private tours in the Lake District and ran across the reviews for Brook tours of Windermere. There is a reason these reviews are so good. Dave was a fantastic host/driver/tour guide. He was prompt when picking us up. He was very knowledgeable and shared some great information and some history of the Lake District. He introduced us to several little villages that were beautiful representations of the long and rich history of the area. Most importantly he was very cordial and a delight to talk with.
It is without hesitation that we would highly recommend Dave and Brook tours of Windermere for your private tour of the Windermere and the Lake District.
