100% worth it - Gorgeous views of the ocean and coast. My guide Gabriel was the best - I was the only one on the tour and as a solo female traveler I felt totally comfortable and safe with him. He took great pictures of me while riding. In my opinion this experience is 100% worth the cost - that being said I agree with other reviews that mention this may be more enjoyable for people with at least a tiny amount of riding experience. You don’t *need* any experience, but keep in mind you will be riding through different environments and there are lots of variables (cars on the freeway, passing ATVs, dogs, other horse riding tour groups, etc.) that could spook a horse or (more likely) a really green rider. But I would encourage anyone to try this out if they can keep a cool head - and PLEASE people, for your sake wear close-toed shoes! I was fine in loose shorts but leggings/pants are best too if you’re not used to the wear of sitting in a Western saddle for 2 hours. You are risking being very chapped and bruised if you don’t dress properly. I saw so many pictures of people riding in flip flops, dresses, etc. and I can only imagine the discomfort. Bring cash to tip your guide!

Gabriel and Mazapán are the best - The pick up was convenient and they accommodated dropping us off in the centre which made our day-planning a lot easier. Gabriel, our tour guide with the horses was incredible. Super friendly, great conversation, good vibes all around. You can tell he is a genuine person with a beautiful heart. Thank you for such a fun experience. My butt and back still hurt from the horse riding (I tried to race) but it was super worth it. This experience made #1 on my list from my first trip to Cabos

Once in a lifetime activity - Absolutely worth it! We visited as a couple and it was so fun to learn how to ride a horse and then gallop through the incredible beach nearby. This was easily the most memorable part of the trip because I also loved how calm and lovely my horse was.
A few tips:
- USE THE SHUTTLE! This location is a bit out of the way, but the shuttle service was amazing about timely pickup and drop off. We chose to Uber for the rest of our Cabo trip, but this was the one area out of the Ubering radius, so we were happy this shuttle service existed.
- If this is your first time riding a horse, be careful! Horses are very intelligent and sensitive creatures. If you are nervous or lose control of your horse, you will scare them. If you are used to any animals in your life (have a dog or cat or other pet), the same logic applies. We had never ridden horses but have a kitty at home, so we knew how to assure the horses and work with them pretty easily. Be gentle and be measured with your movements. This is a safe activity overall, but the trainer won’t spend TOO long giving you instructions. So if you’re generally afraid of animals or easily nervous, this may not be the activity for you.

Emmanuel, Eduardo, and Alejandro are a star studded team - First, take advantage of the shuttle pickup. You won't need to worry about finding the place or parking. Alejandro the driver became a friend. He is very knowledgeable, he actually helped me find just the right spot to go to for dinner that night, MarÃa Corona! I told him that I was in the mood for mole. It's the best place to get mole in Cabo. I can't thank him enough. I had a blast.
Second, 2PM is the best time slot. I went for a 2 hour ride. I was on the beach as the sun was setting. The photos came out great.
Third, Emmanuel is very funny and a great teacher. Riding is intuitive so, just go for it! I felt confident on my ride and glad he was easy to talk to. I would like to go again.
Lastly, Eduardo is a great photographer. He made it fun! He followed along the trail on his 4-wheeler, but gave us space. He even took shots from different locations to get just the right shot. My pictures came out better than expected. I got about 200 photos. Worth every peso!

Memorable - The horseback experience itself was Great. The guide was very helpful & friendly. I enjoyed that he gave background history on the area & beach itself. My only suggestion is to book transportation separately or be prepared to wait on the shuttle. There was a big delay in terms of pickup and waiting around. Otherwise this was def a pleasant experience! Pic attached

Horseback Riding Experience - Beautiful experience with stunning views. The only issue was transportation - they were 15 minutes late and upon arriving and leaving the excursion water was not offered.

Bucket list Bust - Where do I start…there is a required park/land use, parking fee that is not properly disclosed so expect to pay an additional $30/ per person upon arrival. Unfortunately that is not where the disappointment ends. Our tour took us along the highway with barbed wire on each side of the trail, littered with trash. One of our horses was knee knocked and in desperate need of seeing a farrier and in pain. Once we made it to the beach, from the poorly maintained trail this horse started to go down, 3 times. As a somewhat seasoned equestrian I knew this wasn’t right. The guide tried convincing us multiple times the horse was fine but once he saw the horse go down, all of the sudden it was just a stomach ache. I’ve never seen colic develop this way. We couldn’t leave one of our people behind, so we had to cut our trip short. If you continue you are only riding on the actual beach for about 15 minutes. Needless to say, this bucket list adventure was just a bust. Photo was before our ride had started, we obviously don’t have any from during the ride due to our experience.

Disappointing - It was a disappointing excursion. We booked a beginners ride as three of the four of us were beginners, their horses were fairly suitable in temperament but not in size. I believe Mexico perhaps do not give weight limits for their horses but as a rider in the UK I believe the horse should only carry a maximum 20% of its own body weight. I can tell you this was definitely not the case. My horse was certainly far from calm which scared the other three riders, meaning we had to end the ride before it even started. I’m sure if you are a experience rider this ride would be okay. There were many things that I was not comfortable with, such as the horse being tied in the sun with all its tack on and no access to food, water or shade.
Personally, I cannot recommend this tour. I also didn’t appreciate being called a liar by Viator when I commented on the horses well-being.
