Arrival and First Impressions

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for destinations that offer both relaxation and fun for the whole family. When I heard about the Perchel Beach Club in Gran Canaria, I knew it was a must-visit. Our journey began with a bus ride from Puerto Rico, which was an adventure in itself. The bus was bustling with fellow travelers, and although we missed our intended stop, the detour only added to the excitement. We eventually arrived at the club, greeted warmly by the staff and offered a refreshing welcome drink. The setting was stunning, with an infinity pool that seemed to merge seamlessly with the Atlantic Ocean. The kids were immediately drawn to the pool, while my husband and I took a moment to soak in the breathtaking views.

Relaxation and Spa Experience

One of the highlights of our visit was the spa experience. We had an hour of spa access included in our booking, and it was nothing short of amazing. The spa circuit featured a steam room, sauna, and a leisure pool with powerful jets and bubble beds. It was the perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. I also indulged in a 25-minute back and shoulder massage, which was expertly administered by Kristina, a friendly and skilled masseuse. Her attention to detail and ability to work out the knots in my shoulders left me feeling completely relaxed.

While I enjoyed my massage, the kids were entertained by the surfers in the sea, and my husband took the opportunity to relax on the comfortable sunbeds. The club’s atmosphere was serene, with soft background music enhancing the overall experience. It was a day of pure relaxation, and I couldn’t help but think how perfect this place was for families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Dining and Departure

No visit to Perchel Beach Club would be complete without sampling the delicious food on offer. We opted to have lunch at our sunbeds, enjoying a vegetarian pizza and a tuna salad, accompanied by a jug of sangria. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the convenience of ordering from our sunbeds made the experience even more enjoyable.

As the day drew to a close, we took one last dip in the pool and watched the surfers ride the waves. The club closes at 6 PM, but we decided to leave a bit earlier as the clouds began to roll in. Reflecting on our day, I realized that Perchel Beach Club had provided the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, making it an ideal destination for families.
