Discover the Pyramids & Sphinx, Egyptian Museum, and Old Cairo
Pyramids of Giza - The Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx are not only top attractions in Egypt but are also must-see ancient monuments. The Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx are perhaps the most renowned ancient sites globally and the only remaining wonders of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World. A visit to Egypt is incomplete without seeing the Pyramids of Giza. Even if you’ve visited Egypt multiple times, the Pyramids and the Sphinx at the base of the Giza plateau are iconic images of Egypt. Don’t forget to capture a photo in front of them.
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Commonly known as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo, this museum in Cairo, Egypt, houses an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. It boasts 120,000 items, with a significant portion on display and the rest in storage.
Coptic Cairo - Coptic Cairo is a section of Old Cairo that includes the Babylon Fortress, the Coptic Museum, the Hanging Church, the Greek Church of St. George, and numerous other Coptic churches and historical sites.
Khan Al-Khalili - Khan el-Khalili is a major market in the historic center of Islamic Cairo. This bazaar district is a primary attraction for both tourists and locals.
Fly from Cairo to Aswan - Flight Included - Nile Cruise - Philae Temple
Cairo International Airport Road - Travel from Cairo to Aswan by air and embark on a 3-night cruise visiting Aswan.
Temple of Philae - The Temples of Philae, located 12 kilometers south of Aswan, are among Nubia’s most significant monument sites. This ancient pilgrimage center for the cult of Isis has captivated travelers for centuries. Revered from the Pharaonic era through the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods, each ruler left their mark on the stones. Saved from submersion by UNESCO’s rescue project, which relocated the monuments block by block from Philae Island to Agilika Island, the temples continue to enchant visitors today.
Explore the Temples of the Nile - Crocodile Temple & Falcon Temple - Nile Cruise
Temple of Kom Ombo - The Temple of Kom Ombo is a unique double temple in the town of Kom Ombo in Aswan Governorate, Upper Egypt. Constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty (180–47 BC), the southern half of the temple was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, the god of fertility and creator of the world, alongside Hathor and Khonsu.
Temple of Horus - Built between 237 and 57 BC, this Ptolemaic temple is one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient monuments. Preserved by desert sand after the pagan cult was banned, the temple is dedicated to Horus, the avenging son of Isis and Osiris. With its roof intact, it remains one of the most atmospheric ancient buildings.
Nile Cruise - Discover Luxor’s Wonders
Valley of the Kings - The Valley of the Kings is the ancient burial site of many New Kingdom Pharaohs of Egypt. It is a truly impressive location, featuring Tutankhamen’s tomb, discovered nearly intact in 1922, and the tomb of Ramses IV, among others. A ticket allows access to 3 of the 63 tombs on site, excluding Tutankhamen’s tomb.
The tombs have suffered from treasure hunters, past floods, and recent mass tourism: carbon dioxide, friction, and humidity from flash photography and the average of 2.8g of sweat left by each visitor have affected the reliefs and pigments of the wall paintings. The Ministry of Antiquities has installed dehumidifiers and glass screens in the most affected tombs and introduced a rotation system for opening tombs to the public while restoring others.
Temple of Hatshepsut - The temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the first lady of ancient Egypt, is a remarkable site. She ruled Egypt for about 16 years after her brother-husband Thutmose II. She constructed this temple as a funerary temple and ruled Egypt as a male king because women were not allowed to rule. She married her brother to justify her claim to the throne. Additionally, Queen Hatshepsut married her stepson Thutmose III, keeping him in the shadows for 16 years. When he became an adult, he killed her and became the king of Egypt. As an act of revenge, he destroyed everything related to her. When visiting her temple on the west bank, you will notice that he removed all her names from the walls. The temple of Queen Hatshepsut has a unique style, consisting of 3 floors cut into the cliffs of the Valley of the Kings. Queen Hatshepsut was buried in the Valley of the Kings with the pharaohs. Her mummy was discovered in the Egyptian Museum storerooms and is now displayed in the Mummy room.
Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned during the 18th Dynasty. For 3,400 years, they have stood in the Theban Necropolis, west of the River Nile from modern Luxor.
Temple of Karnak - Karnak Temple is a vast temple complex in Luxor, primarily dedicated to Amun, dating back to as early as 2000 BC. It is an impressive sight, second only to the Great Pyramids in popularity.
Luxor Temple - Luxor Temple is a large ancient Egyptian temple complex on the east bank of the Nile River in what is now Luxor, constructed around 1400 BCE. In Egyptian, it is known as Ipet Resyt, “the southern sanctuary.”
