Grand Egyptian Museum - Enjoy a guided tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the heart of Pharaonic Civilization. The museum’s core is the legendary Tutankhamun collection, featuring over 5,000 artifacts from his tomb. The main halls showcase the evolution of Egyptian art and religion, from the earliest dynasties to the Greco-Roman era, with statues of Ramses II, temple reliefs, and exquisite artifacts. Experience the reconstructed funerary boats of Pharaoh Khufu, symbols of the soul’s eternal journey into the afterlife.
Luxor Temples
Luxor - After breakfast, the tour manager will accompany guests to Cairo Airport for a regular flight to Luxor, where the tour guide will be waiting.
Al Karnak - From Luxor Airport, guests will depart with a private tour guide to the Karnak Complex of Temples, an open museum dedicated to temples, chapels, obelisks, statues, and pylons from various historical periods. Notable pharaohs include Ahmos, Tutmothes, Amenophis, Ramsess, Seti, and Hatshepsut. Visit the Great Hypostyle Hall of Seti I and Ramsess II, admire the Obelisks of Amenophis II and Queen Hatshepsut, and pass by the Sacred Lake of Amon.
Luxor Temple - Travel from the Karnak Complex to Luxor Temple via the 2.5 KM Sphinx Avenue, lined with ram-headed statues honoring Amon Raa, the main god of the New Kingdom. After the visit, guests will continue to the Nile Cruise ship for a four-night stay. Check-in and settle into the cabin. At Luxor Temple, see the first pylon with four statues of Ramsess II and one of two standing obelisks, the hypostyle hall of Amenphis III, and the Sanctuary.
Valley of the Kings and Sailing on the Nile
Colossi of Memnon - After breakfast, the tour guide will take guests to the Necropolis of Thebes. The first monument encountered is the two colossal statues of Amenophis III, known as Memnon in Greek literature. These 18-meter-high statues are all that remain of the Great Funerary Temple of King Amenhotep III, New Kingdom - 1570 to 1070 BCE.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - The second stop is the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, constructed by her lover, engineer SEN-MUT. The temple consists of two sections: one cut into the mountain rocks and the other built on three stories. Queen Hatshepsut’s achievements are depicted on the temple walls.
Valley of the Kings - The Valley of the Kings in Thebes, Luxor, contains 63 discovered tombs. Guests will visit three tombs with the guide to explore the ancient Egyptians’ beliefs about the afterlife. Every inch of the Pharaoh’s tomb is covered with scenes from the Book of the Afterlife, guiding the king on his journey to rise with Ra (SUN God) in the celestial world of deities.
Visit of Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples
Temple of Horus - After visiting the Valley of the Kings, the Nile Cruise Ship will leave Luxor for Edfu City, located 100 KM away, arriving in the evening. The visit will be in the morning. The Temple of Horus is distant from the Nile River, offering a horse cart ride from the ship to the temple and back. This temple, from the Ptolemaic period (223 - 30 BCE), is the most well-preserved in Egypt, showcasing the grandeur of ancient Egyptian temples. Return on board and continue southward to Kom Ombo.
Temple of Kom Ombo - Arrive at Kom Ombo Temple in the late afternoon. This temple is divided between two gods: the right half dedicated to Haroeris, with a human body and falcon head, and the left side to Sobek, with a man’s body and crocodile head. Inside, see the Surgical Instruments, the Calendar, and the Figure of Cleopatra VII, along with the Nilometer and Mummified Sacred Crocodiles.
Aswan
Temple of Philae - The Island of Philae is known as the last stronghold of Paganism in Egypt. Until the 4th century, the cult of Goddess Isis continued at her temple on this remote island. Threatened by rising waters from the Aswan Dam, the temple was dismantled, transferred, and reconstructed on Agilikia Island, 300 meters from the original Philae Island, thanks to a collaboration between Egypt and UNESCO. Visitors can explore more than three temple remains before leaving by motorboat to the High Dam of Aswan.
Aswan High Dam - The Aswan High Dam was built under the leadership of Nasser, the former President of Egypt (1954 - 1970). Initially projected by a European Engineering House, the project was entrusted to the Russians after the triple aggression. Once the largest dam in Africa, it was designed to ensure continuous irrigation for Egyptian agriculture and provide the necessary electric energy for Egyptian industry.
