Knowledgeable and helpful - This tour was excellent - I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to visit Egypt for the first time (or indeed any subsequent visits). The sights and experiences included as part of the tour exceeded my lofty expectations. I would also recommend partaking in all the additional activities, as they were all well worth it and enhanced the overall experience. Our tour guide, Ahmed, was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure that all tour guests were well looked after and informed. He even managed to take us to several places which weren’t included on the original itinerary. I’d hope that if any friends or family were to do the same tour, they would have Ahmed as their tour guide.

Perfect tour package - What a great experience! My daughter and I were arriving from Nairobi and getting in at an awkward early morning time. Ahmed happily met us at airport at 3:00 AM, and walked us thru visa/check in and put us in paid transfer to a lovely hotel. We were there 2 days early and had fun exploring Cairo before tour actually started. We always felt safe in this fun, crazily chaotic city and the Ubers are cheap, running about a dollar each ride. Our tours of pyramids/Sphinx/camel ride/Museum were positively accentuated with our knowledgeable tour guide Ahmed. We then took a flight to Aswan and were met by Mahmoud who I cannot say enough good things about. We had 4 delightful days with this man, who was earnestly solicitous, incredibly knowledgeable, and just so absolutely adorable. The cruise ship was fun, and offered some relaxing times from the fairly hectic schedule of seeing all the temples. We were there in summer so it’s understandable why we got such an early start every morning, to try to beat the heat. The end of trip was perfect staying in a Hurgatha resort where it was pure relaxation. We were initially hesitant to visit Egypt but all those reservations went out the window. We felt very safe, taken care of being met by friendly Mahmoud, and had a great tour group. I highly recommend Mody tours for any of your tour needs. They hire really good guides and their employees are top notch.

Wonderful journey - I think we can all agree that Egypt is a once in a lifetime trip most dream of but it dosen't have to be that way! After traveling most the globe I can say I have never been more impressed with with a tour package or tour guide more welcoming and knowledgable in their field. Hani was such a guide!!! Hani took extra care and time to not only make us feel at home in Egypt but to teach us it's history, cultures and customes. His knowledge of the ancient world not only blew our minds but gave us a much deeper and rich experience while we traveled through the country. Making ua feel connected to the history and the people. Egypt is safe and amazing, it's people were warm, inviting and friendly. Hiring a guide I would highly reccomend so you understand what you see and it's signifigance. Hiring Hani you get a friend in Egypt that makes you feel like family the entire time! The staff on the Nile River Story were amazing aswell! The two that stand out were Ali and Ramy! Ali was the bar tender and waiter on the rooftop deck and pool. Ali always had a warm and welcoming smile, was very attentive and an amazing young man who is a master of his craft and will go out of his way to make your experience as amazing as possible! Ramy would walk the boat always checking on his crew and the guests to see if there was anything he could do to make your trip more memorable! If you have any questions or needed anything at any point these men would go to great lengths to accommodate you on your trip through Egypt down the Nile. The entire staff is amazing and friendly but Hani, Ali and Ramy went above and beyond the scope of their job to ensure we had the most amazing trip! I can not tell you enough this is a life changing experience, to experience it without these men our would not have been the same! Thank you so much guys and thank you to the entire Nile Story Riverboat cruise crew! I would give six stars if I could! They even found ways in Egypt in August to refrigerate my medicine for diabettes, I mean wow, thanks gentlemen!!!!

Simply amazing - One of the best travel experiences I’ve had so far! When I read the itinerary for the Mody Tours, I booked it because I thought it was the most efficient way to travel Egypt for such an incredible price. Now I know it’s the reality. It was the incredible coordination and hard work of Mody toursthat was able to give me the perfect 2023 summer. From the airport pickup, everything ran very smoothly. My tour guide was Mahmoud, who was very knowledgeable and passionate about his field and made every temple visit all the more fascinating. He also expertly dealt with the logistics of getting around Egypt and communicating with staff at all the different hotels we stayed at. I highly recommend him as he made my trip stress free and was an incredible travel companion! The itinerary itself is perfect. I booked this trip because I am a history lover, and every stop was an incredible lesson. The cherry on top of this trip was after traveling Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, we made a stop at a beach resort in Hurghada - which was much needed and allowed us to truly tap into vacation mode and relax. The last day in Cairo was the perfect send off, as was the airport drop off. I cannot recommend this tour enough! 5 stars go to the accommodation, the itinerary, the authentic experiences and the hard work of Mody, who have made Egypt my top travel destination so far.

Nice experience - Great trip, organised perfectly. Tour guide Mohamed was very knowledgeable across all the temples. Hotels were good, Nile Cruise was really good. Highly recommend

Must do of Egypt highlights - Excellent trip, we had an extremely friendly, fun and outstanding guide hani who was very helpful and passionate about his occupation, he absolutely made our trip the best. The cruise was very good and hotels were very comfortable, and Mody Tours were easy to deal with.

Awesome! - This trip is a must. Or tour guide in Cairo (Ahmed) is amazing, full of knowledge, and very accommodating. Mahmoud was the perfect host in Cairo. The Hotels were nice, all with working AC. The people of Cairo and Aswan are the friendliest, kindness people. The martket in downtown Cairo is incredible. The trip is busy with a lot of walking and early rising but worth it. The cruise down the Nile is the perfect calm to all the hustle. The food is the best. I really enjoyed my first time Egypt and will definitely be returning with Mody tours.

Great trip - Our family had a wonderful time. Mody Tours made sure we were comfortable, informed and on track for the 9 days. Awesome experience. - Overall very happy with the tour. Guide in while Nile Cruise Mahmoud was very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour. Just make sure to understand that five star rating seems not the same as US rating. Book early to get the best rate, too.

Be aware of this tour........... - We have travelled to over 40 countries and Egypt was in our bucket list for over 20 years. So finally after careful research and after reading what we thought were honest reviews we booked this tour 6 months in advance and secured our spot. We are a family of 6 including 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 senior parents. So cleanliness and safety was our priority. However, please do take Viator's positive reviews with a grain of salt as we faced many issues with this tour. Overall we had a great time because part of the tour was good because of how we chose to accept what happened to us. But our tour company Mody Tours Egypt messed up our travel plans a couple of times during our 9-day visit to this beautiful country. First one of their guides with the name Jxxx (not naming her at least as a courtesy because we are not like her even though she cheated us), double charged us and demanded money twice in cash (in USD) and pretended that we forgot. Meanwhile, I had a count of cash I took and the breakdown. Since we were in the hands of foreigners and it was our 1st day in Cairo we went quietly but reported to her boss and Mody Travels. They only said sorry for what happened. Notice that many will instantly force you to pay in USD or Euro and easily make Egyptian Pound = to USD or Euro. Unless you show the exchange rate and ask how come they are equal, they will try to trick or raise the price. Second, when we boarded the Nile Cruise, the guide with the initials MG gave us a long lecture on how much he would like to be tipped every day and how much we needed to pay the drivers and others who would come along during all site/temple visits. We noticed he only gave this lecture to us and not the others on the tour (we were the only South Asians). Later on, we talked to the others on our tour and found out the guide never approached them in that matter and demanded tipping on day 1. We always give generous tips and that's why we carry cash in different denominations. But we never received such a lecture in our decades-long travel across the world. This incident I reported the to Mody Travels Egypt and they did speak to the guide and he behaved a little bit later on. But towards the end of the cruise he bothered us even late at night texting and asking me to do 6 trip advisor reviews (I have saved those text messages via Whats App). Again I did 2 because we are a family in a foreign country and for safety reasons to make him happy. But deleted them once we reached home and reported all this to Viator. However, we like to acknowledge the best guide we met during this tour. His name was Farook and he took us on our Alesandria tour and was a saint. Finally, if you are ever considering booking these tours kindly please have your communication via Viator as this company ignored going through Viator and used Whats App and always avoided me when we had issues and delayed responses and stated the reception was bad etc., and stalled time. Note, some guides stop you from buying from street vendors indicating they are fake, they charge more, etc., and lured us into various stores and forced us into buying unnecessary stuff at a higher price we even saw them getting a commission under the table (spotted accidentally as we went back to the store to find a lost hat). Mody Travels doesn't share the detailed itinerary until the last minute and canceling certain excursions last minute will force you into different ones trap you in those excursions in front of other tourists and will embarrass and make you pay for extra items. If you don't pay you are stranded in the middle of the desert and will have to wait for other tourists to return to go back to your hotel. So we had to pay for the dessert buggy safari extra money in the middle of nowhere in Hurghada as they canceled our all-day snorkeling tour. Kids were devastated and we were so looking forward to Snorkeling in the Red Sea. Also, be aware that even though they say the tour package includes 8 nights and 9 days and certain meals will be included, they will make you pay for certain meals and when they return you back to Cairo on your last night, they will make you pay for that night even though that was the 8th night that was clearly included in the package. On top of it please refuse to stay at the " Pyramids Oasis Hotel" in Cairo. It's not at how it looks online. It a a 1 star-type motel by US standards and frankly sorry to say but the dirtiest hotel we have ever seen. We refused to stay after our 1st night. We took pictures of the bed and bathroom and my goodness that was sad to even see. I can't believe we chose to even stay our 1st night there out of tiredness and afraidness. Finally, please note that we have used Viator throughout our travels over the past few years and we trusted Viator with this tour. However, when we returned and wrote them our concerns with proof of pictures and text messages, Viator just turned their back and refused to help. So if you are traveling or booking via Viator, please take notice of these. I am not sure whether race had anything to do with us being over charged double charged or cheated while on this tour. But it's better to be prepared regardless of your race just in case. We were advised by our friends in the US to report this Viator and this tour company to the appropriate authorities so no other American is scammed this way.
