Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Proceed to Saqqara, located just 27 km southwest of Cairo. Visit the Step Pyramid (built for King Zoser), the world’s oldest major stone structure, in Saqqara. It is a significant part of the pyramid evolution, transitioning from the simple mastaba to its well-known form. This pyramid was constructed during the Third Dynasty of Ancient Egypt 4,800 years ago. Also, visit one of the Tombs of the Nobles in Saqqara to learn more about the daily life of ancient Egyptian noblemen.

Pyramids of Dahshour - Continue the exploration by transferring south to visit the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid at Dahshur. This renowned royal necropolis in Egypt is located in the desert on the West Bank of the Nile, approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Cairo. It is famous for its many pyramids, two of which are among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt, built from 2613–2589 BC; the Red and Bent Pyramids of King Snefru.

Cairo - At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.

Egyptian Museum, Cairo Citadel, and Khan Al Khalili

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Pick up at 8 am, then head to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to the incredible Tutankhamun exhibit. See his golden mask and many of the New Kingdom royal mummies, and immerse yourself in the numerous rooms and galleries filled with thousands of artifacts.

Cairo Citadel - Continue to the Citadel of Salah El Din, built on the famous Al Moqattam hill in Cairo, originally constructed for military purposes to protect Cairo from threats. It later became the residence of the king of Egypt for many centuries. During this tour, visit the beautiful Mohamed Ali, known as the Alabaster Mosque. A political event called the “Massacre of the Citadel” occurred here in 1811, where Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849), murdered Mameluke leaders in Qaser El Gawhara palace, which is not currently open for visits.
