A great experience for the whole family - The VIP Tour in Sahara through the Simba is actually a car rental private chauffeur. The chauffeur Mr. Othmen is more than just that, he accompanied us and organized the whole trip after consultation with us and was very flexible so that everything we wanted to see also managed. You have to remember that they pay for the extras. A very good recommendation we got from Othmen for tent accommodation again everything organized by him. And the restaurants recommendation also organized by him have exceeded expectations. Thank you very much

Hsin Benhamra is the best guide EVER!!! - I decided to book a family 2 day trip to the Sahara desert to do some activities while we were in Tunisia. I am so glad that I booked with Simba fun travel, they sent Hsin as our travel guide driver, Hsin made an already amazing trip into an unforgettable experience. He was so accommodating, patience and took complete care of us, my son had a minor injury while playing in the sand dunes and Hsin looked after him and nursed him better, he went over the call of duty, he protected us all from scammers and made us all feel safe. The trip was exactly what was advertised and worth every penny, I am not going to reiterate what other reviewers have already wrote about the cost of the activities, in my opinion you pay for what you get, it is not cheap but it really is worth it for the trip of a lifetime experience, it was abso-bloody-lutely amazing. If you are thinking about doing this but can't make your mind up... JUST DO IT!!!

I am Tunisian by origin and I come to Tunisia very regularly and the concern here is that nothing corresponds to what we are unfortunately shown. And there for once, as far as you're concerned, you've been on top. Your guide Othman was more than perfect Nice guy. Listening. Professional. Welcoming. Funny... Who knows his Tunisia like his pocket. Really nothing wrong. We wish you a good continuation, we will talk about you to our entourage because it is a unique experience and engrave forever ❤️. Truly amazing - Thank you Hsin Ben Hamra - We've just returned to our hotel from a 2-day Sahara tour, and it was truly the highlight of our trip – an unforgettable experience made even more special by our incredible guide, Hsin Ben Hamra. From the moment we were picked up, Hsin was warm, welcoming, and so friendly. His kindness, professionalism, and deep knowledge of the area immediately put us at ease. We had initially been very apprehensive about booking the tour, especially after our holiday rep expressed concerns about safety. However, after doing our own research, we decided to go ahead – and we are so glad we did. This trip wasn’t just about checking off the big tourist attractions (though those were incredible too!) – it was about the little, meaningful moments that only come with a private experience. It’s stopping on the side of a busy road to buy bread still warm from a roadside oven, sharing it with sweet tea. It’s the unhurried conversations about life, culture, and family – where you learn not just about the place, but about the people who call it home. Hsin went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for at every stage of the journey. His insight added so much depth to what we were seeing. We felt completely safe, informed, and looked after the entire time. This was more than just a tour – it was a magical experience that has left us with memories to last a lifetime. Sahara and more - The whole experience was excellent. You can reach places that are hard to reach by yourself. Yemmen was a great driver and helped with questions and taking me to authentic food places. He makes as many stops as you need.

a desert delight - Issam was our driver for the two days, he contacted as the day before to confirm pick up time. As the description states this is a long drive spending 20+ hours in a car but Issam offered to stop for breaks or photos at anytime. He ensured that we had the best experience and was very tentive when I was travel sick and even called a doctor for advice. Ensured that we got the best food and arranged a tour guide at the atlas mountain. We would fully recommend Issam.

Misleading & Overpriced Sahara Tour – Avoid - ❌ Misleading & Overpriced Sahara Tour – Avoid I booked the 2-day private Sahara tour expecting a premium experience as advertised, but the reality was very disappointing. I was called the day before our tour to inform me that the tour guide can speak Arabic only which was not acceptable because in our group I was the only one who speaks Arabic and an English speaking guide was already my request from the very beginning of planning. So they sent us an English speaking driver . • Driver ≠ Guide – They promised a driver + guide, but sent only a driver. He was a nice guy trying to do his best but no idea about route or our plan. We showed him our plan and he tried his best but finding the sightseeing locations and trying to do unrealistic program was a struggle. We ended up using map applications to support and he asked his team and other people to realize plan . • Unrealistic Program – The advertised itinerary (El Jem, Matmata, Douz, Chott El Jerid, Chebika, Tamerza, Kairouan + transfer to the airport) is impossible in 2 days. The schedule was rushed, disorganized, and exhausting. We skipped Kairouan not to feel stressed to reach airport which was a good decision because road took longer than plan . • Car Too Small – For a long Sahara trip with 4 people and luggage, they provided a small MG5 car. It was cramped, uncomfortable, and completely unsuitable. At this price, a proper van should have been provided. • Overpriced – The cost is far too high for what was essentially just basic transport. A group tour would have been better value, or we could have rented our own car and could have more space within the car without the company’s driver. This is not a VIP tour, not worth the price, and very misleading. Save yourself the frustration: either join a reputable group tour with a proper vehicle or rent your own car — you’ll have a better and more comfortable Sahara experience. I would still thank the workers of sahara desert camp for their hospitality.
