Once in a lifetime experience and made friends with our guides :) - An amazing adventure with my son Tristan! We just returned from a 2-day private desert adventure to the Tunisian Sahara camp and ruins, and it was absolutely incredible. Our guide, Abdel, was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable about the history, culture, and the desert itself. He made the entire experience engaging and fun for both my son and me.
The journey through the Tunisian landscapes was stunning, and arriving at the Sahara camp felt like stepping into another world. The camp was comfortable and had a wonderful, authentic feel. The night sky was breathtaking, and the traditional food was delicious. Sharing stories and music around the campfire was a highlight.
Exploring the ancient ruins with Abdel was fascinating. He brought the history to life with his insightful explanations. Tristan was captivated!
This private tour was perfectly organized and felt so personalized. Abdel truly made the experience exceptional. If you're looking for a memorable and authentic desert adventure in Tunisia, especially if you're traveling with family, I wholeheartedly recommend this tour and definitely ask for Abdel!

Delightful tour - Though smaller in comparison to many countries, Tunisia is a marvelous country with wonderful diversity. I don’t think we would have been able to truly appreciate its depth if it weren’t for the dynamic duo of Abdel and Ghazi. The knowledge and passion they have for their country helped us to find many surprising gems along our adventure. Their playful banter made for the most delightful tour experiences we could have asked for. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Three night, four day private tour of Tunisia. - We contacted this company on short notice for a custom four day , three night private tour during our stay in Tunisia. They were responsive and flexible in the arrangements using What's App. The daily itinerary and prices (in Euros) were sent out quickly. This is a cash only business, so no credit cards could be used for payment. We needed to pull a large amount of cash out of the local ATMs in small bills, which was an inconvenience.
The vehicle used was clean and well maintained with good shock absorbers and a strong air conditioner. This was greatly appreciated as there were long driving distances.
After our tour of the impressive mosque in Kairovan, we were taken across the street for what was supposed to be a demonstration of the local women's carpet weaving skills. But there was no women, just a room with salesmen trying to sell us carpets.
The highlights of the trip were a mesmerizing camel ride into the Sahara Desert and overnight stay in a tent camp. The camp is very basic accommodations, but the experience was thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable.
We also spent a night in a Berber cave hotel in Cheneni, one of the most unique hotel experiences we have ever had.
On the last day of our tour, we visited the amphitheater of El Jem which I thought was much better than the one in Rome. There is also an adjacent museum with an incredible collection of mosaics. Hopefully, you can have a tour guide as knowledgeable and personable as Yassine, who made our visit that much more enjoyable.

Impressive journey through the history and present of the country with long journey times - The tour took us from Tunis far to the south of Tunisia. We had not expected such long distances (almost 1500 km) . Nevertheless, we were fascinated by many points of the varied program.
Neither the huge, well-preserved amphitheatre of El Jem nor the desert oases would have been so impressive if we had not booked this tour.
The desert camp - designed for up to 120 people - we had almost to ourselves and were very fascinated by the sandbread - which did not taste like sand - which was prepared in the embers.
The night in the Bedouin tent was less cold and uncomfortable than we had feared and the starry sky was impressive.
We found the salt lake plate less exciting - the groundwater contains a lot of salt and is quite close to the surface under a layer of sand. Except for saline puddles, there was little to see.
The tour through the desert oasis of Chebika to the waterfall was very nice due to the few December tourists. In high season, up to tu 1000 tourists a day walk through the oasis, but we had them almost to ourselves.
The cave dwellings we could visit filled us with humility. Even today, families live here without electricity, running water and with the fear that rains can simply wash away the dwelling in days.
On the way back - several hundred kilometers of country road - one could see the simple living conditions deep in the south of the country
experience.
