- Santa Cecilia de Montserrat and Sean Scully Art Space - Convent / Monastery of the S. XI. Once we have crossed to the north slope we arrive at the small Romanesque style monastery where we will appreciate its magnificent architecture and there will be the possibility (walking 5 minutes) to appreciate the views of Sant Benet and all of the valley with the Pyrenees in the background.
- Abadia de Montserrat - We arrive at the Abbey where they will have free time to visit the church with the image of the Black Virgin, patron saint of Catalonia.
- Montserrat Museum - We will see the facade of this museum located at a height of 720 meters above sea level
- Santa Cueva de Montserrat - Cave with chapel where the original image of the Virgin was found
- Ermita de Sant Joan - Together with the Santa Cueva, it is the most accessible mountain hermitage in Montserrat. It is well communicated with the monastery thanks to the San Juan Funicular and the Camino de las Ermitas, which has wide and well-paved sections.
- Monistrol de Montserrat - We return along the winding road on the north side, crossing the Sant Benet monastery, seeing the spectacular vertical walls and arriving at the beautiful town of Monistrol, crossed by the Llobregat river and back to the origin

Awesome tour with James! - Awesome tour with James! Our personal tour of Monserrat with James was phenomenal!
He was so easy to work with and graciously accommodated our requests with stops at El Bruc and Santa Cecilia de Montserrat; a visit to the Throne Room of Our Lady of Montserrat; attending a concert by the Escolania de Montserrat Boys’ Choir; and hiking the paved path from the Saint Joan Funicular!

Highly Recommended – The Perfect Way to Experience Montserrat! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - James was an outstanding driver and host for our private half-day tour to Montserrat. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel, he was punctual, professional, and genuinely friendly. He had already coordinated our tickets in advance (including priority access to see the Black Virgin), which saved us valuable time and stress.
The drive itself was a highlight — James shared fascinating insights about Barcelona, Catalan history, and the stunning Montserrat mountain range as we traveled. His comfortable vehicle made the journey relaxing and enjoyable. Once at the monastery, he gave excellent guidance on how to make the most of our time, allowing us to fully enjoy the breathtaking views, the basilica, and the unique atmosphere without feeling rushed.
James went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. We felt like we had a trusted local friend showing us his region rather than just a driver. Wonderful Day Trip to Monserrat - Our group of six hired James for a half day tour of the Monserrat Monastery near Barcelona. The Monastery and Black Madonna were amazing and James provided excellent background information at each of our stops. The scenery alone is worth the trip!

Monserrat is a must visit - Our family had a great time with James on this tour. He was a fantastic guide and driver. He is a local and shared a lot of fun information about the area in addition to Monserrat. Monserrat is a must visit with the black Madonna if you have time during your Spain vacation. James procured our tickets for the viewing in advance of our excursion with him saving us time and ensuring we did not miss this beautiful experience. Thanks James!

Montserrat with Jaime - We really enjoyed our time with Jaime and the trip up to Montserrat. He provided information as we drove through Barcelona up to Montserrat — current and historic information about the city and its people. (It was January so quite cold, and he even gave one of our girls his coat to use…he went above and beyond!). The area was beautiful and I understand why so many locals escape for the day to hike and enjoy the views. If you are going to Montserrat, I would highly suggest Jaime, and especially if you are in a group!

Montserrat - Lovely trip to Montserrat. Easy pick up from the airport, transfer to Montserrat and transfer to our cruise ship. Great way to spend our first day!

Wonderful visit to Monserrat, highly recommend! - We had a wonderful visit to Monserrat! James was on time, easy to communicate with before the tour, and very knowledgeable. A worthwhile day trip! - James was great! We had a wonderful half-day tour to Monserrat. The car was spacious and comfortable; James had great tips for what we should do in Monserrat and even went ahead and secured us tickets to see the Black Madonna while we were there. I would highly recommend this as a day trip from Barcelona!

Beautiful and scenic site worth visiting - Easy ride from Barcelona. Car was spacious and comfortable. James explained everything about Montserrat and arranged for tickets for us to see the Madonna. The site is beautiful and definitely well worth the trip. Overall, it was a pricey experience to have a driver otherwise would have given it a 5.
