Between 06:00 and 07:00 am, guests will be picked up from their hotel in Santiago to embark on the journey to Cajon del Maipo. The first stop will be at the accommodation located at the entrance of the Rio Colorado Valley, where a delightful breakfast will be served with a stunning mountain view.

The main objective of the day is to trek to the condor viewpoint to witness the majestic Andean condor in its natural habitat. The trek begins with an ascent lasting 1 to 1.5 hours, reaching the portezuelo for a brief rest to recharge before continuing the climb. The route then crosses the watercourse of the Three Hundred Gorge, followed by another ascent.

Around kilometer 3.6, the path starts to descend, revealing the expansive cliff that marks the destination. The Mirador de Cóndores is a vast plateau situated over 2,030 meters high, perched on impressive rocky cliffs. This location offers breathtaking views from above, where visitors can observe condors, eagles, and the iconic Tupungato Volcano.

During the trek, there will be opportunities to discover the area’s rich wildlife, with chances to spot blackberry eagles and condors, and to search for signs like fox or cougar tracks.

Upon reaching the trail’s summit, a breathtaking view of the Andes will be the ultimate reward.

Finally, after descending and experiencing an unforgettable day in the Andes, the journey back to Santiago will begin.
