If your visit isn’t specifically for the Selimiye Mosque, viewing it from the outside might suffice, and you will surely enjoy your time with our service.
• Eski Cami - Explore the historical Üç Minarelli Mosque and learn about its history and current role. Feel free to take a photo break, or if preferred, skip this site and visit another location mentioned in the description or any other place of interest in Edirne city center.
• Uc Serefeli Camii - Your guide will provide insights into the history and current function of the Üç Minarelli Mosque.
• The Grand Bazaar of Edirne - Ali Pasha Bazaar, located along the pedestrian-friendly Saraçlar Street, is Edirne’s premier bazaar. Constructed between 1568-1569 by the renowned architect Mimar Sinan, it offers a great shopping experience.
• Beyazid II Kulliyesi Health Museum - Accompanied by your guide, visit the 2nd Sultan Beyazit Complexes and learn about their history and current function. You may take a photo break or, if desired, skip this site and explore another location listed in the description or elsewhere in Edirne city center. PLEASE NOTE: This site is closed on Mondays.
• Edirne Buyuk Sinagogu - Visiting this site is optional. The Grand Synagogue of Edirne, also known as Adrianople Synagogue, is a historic Sephardi synagogue on Maarif Street. Designed in the Moorish Revival style, it was restored in 2015. PLEASE NOTE: This site is closed on Mondays.
• Meric River Bridge - Visit the Meriç Bridge with your guide. It is renowned as the world’s best place to watch a sunset, though time may not always permit waiting for it. Feel free to take a photo break.
• Bulgarian Church of Sweti George - This site is optional. The Bulgarian Orthodox Church, with its unique design, is near the center. It may not always be open, but if visiting inside isn’t possible, your guide will explain its history from the front. PLEASE NOTE: This site may still be under renovation.
• Adalet Kasri Kulesi - This site is optional. Your guide will share the history and current function of the Justice Pavilion. Alternatively, you can skip this site and visit another location listed in the description or elsewhere in Edirne city center. PLEASE NOTE: This site may still be under renovation.
• House of Bahá’u’lláh - This site is optional. Bahá’u’lláh is a religious philosopher, and the Bahá’ís regard him as the leader of Bahá’ísm. PLEASE NOTE: This site is optional for those interested in visiting.
• Makedon Kulesi - The Macedonian Tower is a rare site where three civilizations overlap. This historical tower is part of the Roman city walls, built by Roman Emperor Hadrian. It is the only remaining example of the towers on the ancient Edirne walls. The area, including the Macedonian Tower and surrounding wall remnants, is organized as the Edirne City History Museum and Archaeological Site. As part of the museum, showcasing Edirne’s 8300-year history in layers, the Macedonian Tower also serves as a viewing terrace, offering a unique panoramic view of Edirne, welcoming those who wish to see the city from above.

Edirne is a magnificent city boasting 1,585 recorded historical landmarks, ranking it the second European city with the most historical landmarks per square meter, following Florence in Italy. The city served as the second capital of the Ottoman Empire, succeeding Bursa and preceding Istanbul.

Please note: The most frequented sites are included in our agenda, which is designed to cover the maximum number of sites visitors can witness in a day. The itinerary is flexible, enabling guests to allocate their time according to their preferred locations and to omit places they aren’t interested in visiting in Edirne.

The day trip begins with a pick-up from your location in Istanbul at 08:00, followed by a drive to Edirne. We’re expected to arrive around 10:30, and the sightseeing tour will continue for about 4 hours, plus 1 hour for lunch. The total drive time is approximately 5 hours. All in all, the entire day tour of Edirne from Istanbul takes about 10 hours. It concludes at 17:45 - 18:00. At the end of the tour, we drive back to Istanbul and drop you off at your location.
