The Guide will share stories about the notorious Border Reivers, who for centuries raided villages and settlements in this region, being allies to neither the Scots nor the English!

• Holy Island - The next destination is Holy Island, a place rich in spirituality and history. Linked to the mainland by a causeway, Holy Island features the renowned Lindisfarne Castle and the historic Lindisfarne Priory. Immerse in the tranquility of this sacred island, where history and nature blend to create a truly enchanting atmosphere.

*Please note that access to Holy Island depends on low tide, and the visit may occur in the afternoon instead.

• Alnwick Castle - The tour then proceeds to the enchanting Alnwick Castle. A dream destination for Harry Potter enthusiasts worldwide, there is ample time to explore the corridors, grand halls, and courtyards of the real-life Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Discover where Harry learned to fly and play Quidditch in “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.” You might even participate in the famous Broomstick Training sessions with the resident Wizarding Professor! (Please note: Alnwick Castle will close for the season on October 24th, 2025)
• The Alnwick Garden - Some guests may prefer to explore the stunning Alnwick Gardens, initially developed by the Duke of Northumberland in the 18th Century and revitalized by a charitable trust over the past 20 years. Alternatively, explore the charming village of Alnwick, home to the largest second-hand bookstore in the UK.
• Bamburgh Castle - The tour includes a stop in the picturesque village of Bamburgh, offering spectacular views of the majestic Castle overlooking the bay. Imagine Viking longships attacking this strategic fortress in the 10th Century! Or, enjoy local ice cream while strolling along the beautiful beach.

*Bamburgh may be visited at the start of the tour, depending on tidal access to Holy Island.

• Edinburgh - On the return journey to Edinburgh, the Guide will recount tales of the infamous Border Reivers, who for centuries raided villages and settlements in this region, being allies to neither the Scots nor the English!

The drop-off will be in the city center, with an estimated arrival time of 6:30 PM. Please note that this may be affected by traffic and other factors beyond our control.

It is recommended to allow 2 hours between the expected arrival time and any onward travel or reservations, as individual drop-offs cannot be provided.
