Stephen Maloney is hands down the best tour guide ever and I travel a lot!!! - Stephen Maloney is hands-down one of the most fun tour guides we’ve ever had! From the moment we met him—rocking his kilt and big teddy-bear energy—we knew we were in for a great day.
He’s an incredible storyteller who made Edinburgh’s history come alive, and he took us everywhere. The car was stocked with drinks and snacks (huge bonus!), and he knew all the best hidden spots for photos. Even better—Stephen took the pictures for us, using perfect angles that made us look fantastic. No awkward selfies required!
His timing was spot-on all day, but the grand finale was pure magic. He took us high above the city just as the sun was setting over Edinburgh, and the view was absolutely stunning—one of those moments you’ll never forget.
I truly cannot say enough good things about Stephen Maloney. If you want a tour that’s fun, relaxed, beautifully timed, and full of laughs, stories, and jaw-dropping views, book with him. He’s awesome!

Hands Down Best Guide, Best Experience, Best Edinburgh Tour with an Amazing Guide. - Stephen was an absolutely amazing tour guide in Edinburgh! From the moment we met him, he made the experience fun, relaxed, and unforgettable. He’s a fantastic storyteller with a great sense of humor, proudly wore his kilt, and truly is a big teddy bear—warm, welcoming, and full of personality.
The car was stocked with drinks and snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch. He took us all over the city and knew exactly where to go for the best photo spots. Even better, he took incredible pictures of us—using perfect angles that made us all look fantastic. No awkward selfies needed!
Stephen’s timing was flawless throughout the day. The grand finale was breathtaking: he took us to a spot high above the city just as the sun was setting over Edinburgh. It was absolutely beautiful and the perfect way to end the tour.
I truly cannot say enough good things about Stephen. If you’re lucky enough to book a tour with him, you’re in for an unforgettable experience. He’s awesome!

Great way of seeing Edinburgh in comfort - Stephen was our guide today on a 2 hour private tour. Drive us to most of the main " tourist" attractions/ places. Stephen is very knowledgeable, well accommodate wherever you want to go. Great way of seeing Edinburgh in comfort. Plenty of stops to take photos.

Unforgettable Journey with Stephen Maloney - I was warmly greeted by Stephen Maloney on my solo guided tour of Edinburgh. I felt completely welcomed and we just hit it off and had a fantastic start of the day. He was extremely knowledgeable of Edinburgh and its history and also explained historical detail which was amazing. He was always looking to see what we could do next which he never once disappointed me with all of his insight. He truly went out of his way to make sure I had the best experience. His willingness to help and guide you really comes through in everything he does. At the end of the day, I felt I made a friend in Scotland and will do my best to visit again.

Exceptional Tour - We very much enjoyed the tour. Alan, our guide/driver was great! We saw so many wonderful sights and had an enjoyable stop at a local coffee shop. The car was comfortable and we got a n incredible view of Edinburgh.

Go to Scotland, Fall in Love with Edinburgh- and BOOK THE TOUR WITH STEPHEN! - Scotland was an absolutely incredible experience! It was the best family vacation we have ever taken and will be forever cherished. Our private tour with Stephen was our first full day in Scotland and encompassed many of our favorite moments throughout our travels. Stephen was a joy to work with before the trip- very responsive, generous with ideas and answering questions and willing to customize the itinerary to make the most of our time.
Edinburgh showed off its rainy side the day of our tour, but Stephen made the entire day so much fun. He came prepared with snacks and umbrellas, always had an alternative plan and was a delight to be around. At every stop, we enjoyed secret views, heard rich history, learned about regional culture, and he made us laugh all day! He was an AMAZING personal photographer and snuck in many candid shots throughout the day.
Our time in the van between stops was full of laughter, insights about the area and local lore. He gave us the best advice on places to visit on the rest of our Scotland adventure- sites, restaurants, etc. It felt like we spent the day with a favorite family member that happened to live in amazing Edinburgh and knew all the best places to go!
Go to Scotland, fall in love with Edinburgh and, most importantly, book a tour with Stephen! You will make the best memories!

Best Tour in Scotland - Tremendous tour! Stephen our guide was friendly accommodating, knowledgeable and funny. He had water and snacks when we started the those and provided more through out. He took us to many places for the views and places of historical significance. He catered the trip to our wishes and desires and it is clear that while we wanted to discuss history which he did most excellently, he also knew all the spots for the best photos and for the selfie and instagram generation. We learned that there is a part of Edinburgh that is quite lovely place to live right in the middle of the big city. The tour was wonderful, Edinburgh as Stephen showed us is beautiful with many surprises and we had a great time. We highly recommend Stephen for tour of Edinburgh and frankly the whole of Scotland he does it all. Most excellent!! If I could give 10 stars I would. This is a tour that you want to take so book now he is popular.
