Women’s History + Humor - I absolutely loved this! I wanted a tour of Edinburgh with real history (not just ghost stories) and I’m so glad I chose this one! It centers on the people who were persecuted for witchcraft, so it’s basically a history of women and differently-abled people, but with so much levity and reverence thrown in. Our group of 5 heard fascinating true stories, walked down alleys where it happened, and shared giggles, too! Our witch, Juniper, added plenty of humor and warmth. I felt welcome to ask questions, which she answered joyfully. I was especially impressed with how she treated people on the street with kindness. 1.5 hours felt like my money’s worth without feeling exhausting. I learned so much; this was the tour I raved about to friends and family. Highly recommend!!

Spell-binding history of witches in Edinburgh - I would like to highly recommend this tour in Edinburgh's Old Town which explores the history of the persecution of witches in 16th century Scotland. So interesting, great stories from our guide Juniper, a totally fun and fascinating way to learn about the past. Five stars.

Authentic depth, genuine laughter, integrity with herstory - I was on a solo Ancestral Pilgrimage to Scotland. I am a mid-aged feminist woman who is a remembering hedge witch practicing folk magic from Canada. I was in Edinburgh for the Beltane Fire Festival and wanted to feel and experience the old town in a way that aligned with my ethical and cultural priorities and interests. THIS TOUR ROCKED MY WORLD. Our guide (name is a flower?) was not only a skilled facilitator and guide, she was clearly deeply passionate about Witches in an embodied and culturally rooted way. The ease with which she flowed from making us all laugh, letting our voices be heard, guiding us safely around a packed town and then slipping into compelling, moving and often devastating material was magic. I could feel her teachers, guides and the more-than-human holding and speaking through her. I learned so much that blew my mind. And what really pushed this tour over the top for me was her astute and wise weaving of how the horrors or history are being repeated now with the rise of fascism and late stage patriarchal capitalism and white supremacy. I saw a number of men and women have “ah ha” or “or sh!t” moments during our tour. Without hyperbole this tour exceeded all expectations. I would hire her privately for myself or for a week long land and place based tour that wove in practice and magic.

Witch Hazel was very amusing. - Our Witch ( Hazel …honestly!) was superb, great narrator and very funny with great knowledge of the area and events. Would thoroughly recommend the tour . Only gripe was there was no ‘ underground ‘ element which was advertised in the title.
