Dead bodies and a lesson in grave robbing. Everything you need! - So much fun while learning! We took the ghost bus tour at the end of our trip. It was fun to hear about all the places we had already visited and all the dead bodies and ghosts we didn’t know about. Our guide was very informative while also being very funny! The way he interacted with the guests was very clever. A definite stop while you’re here.

Great 1 hour tour of Edinburgh - I booked this for the evening of my first day in Edinburgh to get a little preview of the city. The guide was Tommy the Terror and he was funny and provided a lot of Edinburgh’s history. My recommendation would be to sit on the left side of the bus for the best views.

Fun way to see the sites 👻 - It is good fun for all ages in my opinion. As the history of Edinburgh's gruesome history is told in a humorous way, it's more like horrible histories rather than just information being taught. My advice would be to sit on the passenger side of the bus as most of the sites were to the left. As I sat o the right I had to crane to look. A brilliant way to get an idea of what's available to see around Edinburgh. The following day I went to Greyfriar's Kirkyard and found the graves mentioned. I won't say which ones and spoil it for you 😉

Scary, funny, creepy and lots of fun! - This was so much fun! Double decker bus tour on the Ghost Bus. Hosted by "Tommy Terror" in full deathly make up and funeral style clothing! The tour was full! Tommy points out landmarks which are haunted/hosted public hangings/murder sites, and even a 10 minute walk into St Cuthberts graveyard! This was optional...you could sit on the bus if you didn't want to join in. But I believe everyone on our bus went for it! Creepy hauntings were regaled, and we were allowed to take pictures of the Haunted Tower in the graveyard, where some members photos do depict strange figures, orbs and faces viewed in the windows! The tour is very informative, funny, and interesting! It lasts around an hour and 15 mins, and well worth it! There are a few wee surprise jump scares to add to the atmosphere, but I won't spoil them here! At the end of the tour, you can take pictures of Tommy Terror, and his creepy bus driver Angus! There is a tip box on board after the tour. Please contribute,as a great wee show is put on! A lovely wee way to fill over an hour!

What a disappointment! - What a disappointment! Im am pretty sure this tour is great - which is why we prebooked as part of a Christmas gift for my elderly mother who delights in all things spooky but whose little legs couldn't carry her around Edinburgh for a walking tour. We had taken a bus tour earlier in the day for afternoon tea and were delighted with the experience, being allocated seating and made throughly welcome by the operators. Later we trekked across the city to the pick up point for the bus tour, expecting a similarly well organised situation and were upset to find that no such thought had gone into this one, with boarding being a more 'school bus affair' , the operator telling people it was first come first served which surprised us as nowhere in the advertising for this tour does it state that you have to be an expert in negotiating a rugby scrum to get seated together. Indeed there was VERY little room to breathe on the bus, notwithstanding the seating arrangements. The operator was apologetic that we had paid in advance, booked our evening meal and organised our day to fit this in only to be faced with the this very disappointing situation. She in fact told us we should be refunded. Fast forward to the following morning when I relayed this to the customer service chat who advised the refund request would be processed which I thought represented a fair situation, us having not had what we paid for, however I was wrong. In a flash our case had been reviewed and refused. And when I appealed I was advised in an email that was almost immediate that they had reviewed our case again and would not issue a refund. I am of course unimpressed by the loss of money, the lack of concern the assistant, has for both customer delight and the reputation of the provider, though I have to say the speed of cognitive processing that enabled her to not only conduct another thorough review of my complaint, request and type an articulate response, pretending to give a toss, all in the space of a few seconds leaves me speechless with admiration. Ai could not have done a better job! Although I suspect it would have shown considerbly care! All in all I cannot recommend and would not use this particular booking system again.

Cheap jump scares and disrespectful to the ghosts - I had such high expectations for this tour since I saw a video of it on YouTube but honestly? The cheap jump scares were awful and we only ever got out of the bus to enter one cemetery, so the whole tour was inside a bus with a guide in a costume telling stories and some of the storytelling was borderline disrespectful with the spirits, saying things like anyone in the bus could be at any time "possessed" by an entity I'm sure is not even real. It's only fun if you don't mind being told lies and being jump scared with cheap smoke and sound effects. It does not represent the true haunting tales of Edinburgh and does not live up to the hype. The tour was not interactive nor interesting it was like watching a bad horror movie. Sure some people might like it but I thought I'd give my honest opinion so like-minded people will not spend their 20 pounds on this awful attraction.
