No better way to tour the castle - There’s NO BETTER way to explore the Castle than with a local guide- in a kilt, to boot! Alisdair was full of historical knowledge and perspective that added a unique dimension. I’d recommend this tour 100%.

Book THIS tour! - Alisdair, the “local Scottish guy in a kilt” is the best tour guide we’ve ever had in all our years of traveling. I’ve gone on tours with guides before, so I know that it’s worth it to have a guide, even for a place that you might THINK that you don’t need one. Book this tour, you will not regret it! Alisdair gave so many great insights from the moment we started walking toward the Castle up until the very end. He grew up in Edinburgh and has great stories that you just can’t get if you walk through it on your own. He also gave us some great tips on places to eat (he really knows his stuff). We had a fantastic day and we owe it all to Alisdair, such a great tour guide!
