Excellent Tour! - Gary was an engaging and entertaining driver who kept us captivated during our drive to Oak Alley. He shared his personal experiences during Hurricane Katrina, which truly held everyone's attention. Upon our arrival at Oak Alley, we were fortunate to have Mr. Anthony as our private tour guide, and he was absolutely phenomenal. This was my second visit to this historic home, and Mr. Anthony offered new insights, particularly regarding the enslaved Africans, including fascinating details about Deterville that I hadn’t heard before. I would highly recommend calling ahead to see if you can book a tour with Mr. Anthony. After the tour, he graciously provided additional information that time had not permitted during our walk through the home. Mr. Anthony’s expertise and passion made this trip truly memorable and sparked my desire to learn more about Oak Alley.

BRIAN is the BEST bus driver!!!! - Brian was our bus driver for Crescent City Tours!!!!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about him!!! He was the absolute BEST!!! He was full of history and even pointed out areas along the way used as filming locations for major movies. Our 2 tours were great but he made the experience the BEST! He is funny too! Definitely worth going! - The Oak Alley/Swamp Tour is a must see! Oak Alley was both sad and beautiful at the same time and the swamp tour was a blast. Our swamp guide was knowledgeable and we saw a ton of animals even though we were warned that we may not see much due to the time of year. Prepare to laugh with Brian (your driver) all day, he made the day so fun and knows everything in the area!! I will definitely be back to do this tour in the future!

Somewhat disappointed with plantation tour but very happy with airboat experience - The Oak Alley house and grounds were beautiful, and I enjoyed eating at the restaurant. However the overall experience at the plantation left me underwhelmed. Tours were kicking off on a regular basis so the actual tour was quicker than I expected and only of the house and nothing more. From the website, I had presumed the tour would also give me an insight into the lives of those trapped in slavery. This side of the story was very brief and shallow in depth. I wasn't the only guest asking if the tour would include the slave quarters etc, which it didn't. We looked through the slave quarters ourselves but they appeared newly built and, to my limited understanding, not an accurate historical representation. Our swamp tour was delayed due to lightening in the area. The company did organise an alternative day for us, but there were 9 on the boat. This was disappointing as I had paid extra to go in a small group (no more than 6 people from memory), however the group we went with were very nice so I wasn't too concerned. I was impressed by our boat driver/captain/guide, whose knowledge of local flora and fauna was very good.
