Cotopaxi Volcano

Cotopaxi National Park - Join your guide and embark on a journey south of Quito towards Cotopaxi National Park. Along the way, marvel at the stunning views of the Andes Mountain range and the breathtaking natural scenery. Upon arrival at the National Park, visit the Interpretation Center and Limpiopungo Lagoon. Enjoy a brief hike in the Limpiopungo Valley before ascending further into this high-altitude region, stopping at the Padre Rivas Refuge at 15,800 feet (4,830 meters). Depending on your fitness level, you may reach the Glacier at 5,050 meters. Savor lunch at a local restaurant offering traditional Ecuadorian cuisine. Spend the night at a selected hotel in Cotopaxi.

Quilotoa Lagoon (3,914 meters) - Baños

Pujili - Journey through the Avenue of the Volcanoes and pass through the quaint town of Pujilí. Visit an indigenous local house in the “Paramos” to learn about their customs and lifestyle.

Tigua - Afterward, proceed to the town of Tigua, renowned for its naive paintings.

Quilotoa - You can descend to the lake within the crater or simply stroll around the crater’s edge. Experience an unforgettable adventure by riding a mule or kayaking on the lake. Enjoy lunch and continue your trip to Baños.

Baños - Visit the renowned “Swing at the End of the World” at La Casa del Árbol and admire the spectacular mountain landscapes. Overnight in Baños.

Puyo

Baños - Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning, partake in activities such as canopy, biking, horseback riding, canyoning, or rafting.

Puyo - Depart for Puyo, where you will have lunch and take a 2-hour walk in the jungle at the Hola Vida Reserve to learn about the Amazon’s plants and trees. Visit a waterfall where you can swim. Engage with the indigenous community, participate in traditional dancing, and try using a blowpipe. At their museum, you can purchase handicrafts like necklaces, bracelets, or pottery.

Baños (1,820 meters) - Return to Quito

Baños - Visit Pailon del Diablo, Ecuador’s most magnificent waterfall. Ride a cable car over the Pastaza River and witness one of the most extraordinary sights, with 360-degree views of waterfalls, mountains, and stunning landscapes. During your free time, you can opt for activities such as rock climbing, trekking, biking, and more at an additional cost. After lunch, return to Quito.
