Capt. Paul was friendly, funny, informative, and took great care to offer a safe and thorough trip. He communicated with the other boats to get us to see humpbacks, stellar sea lions, orcas, and many smaller dolphins, seals auklets, etc. Dr. Kat, the mate, knew a whole lot about all that we were seeing, and shared it with us with great humor and friendly style. The trip lasted longer than scheduled so we could see everything. We ended up doing a circumnavigation of Orcas and Shaw Islands. Even with a full load of 30, the boat had room for all, and offered different places to sit or stand depending on one's preference. Overall, a first rate experience, and a high value trip with the discount offered by the brochures.

We had a great time. We actually saw the whales and got to spend time looking at them. Dr. Cat was also very knowledgeable.

Very nice boat and friendly staff. We would have enjoyed the trip more if the team provided more education on the environment, geology, and ecosystems we encountered. I would not be looking for non stop lecturing but a PA system on low volume with commentary during quieter times would be goo.
