The guide will check you in, introduce the group, and outline the day’s itinerary. Departure is scheduled for no later than 8:55 AM. To find us easily, search ‘Hotel Windsor’ in your maps app and cross the road. Parliament Station is directly below and is within the free tram zone from anywhere in the CBD.
- Yarra Valley - Approximately 60 minutes. Relax as we leave the city. The guide will start the Spotify playlist, and you can add your own songs from your phone. The drive takes you from Melbourne’s suburbs through vineyard country into the Yarra Valley.
- Yering Farm Wines - The first stop is a small, family-run boutique vineyard with a rustic cellar door. Sample 5-6 wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Shiraz, along with their renowned Pink Lady Apple Cider. Enjoy the great views and a perfect start to the day.
- Tokar Estate - A beautiful 40-acre Italian-style winery offering some of the finest wines in the valley, including an outstanding Tempranillo. Tastings are often held outdoors on the terrace, which is arguably the best photo spot of the day.
- St Huberts Cellar Door - Option 1 - Choose 1 of 2: Your first group choice of the day - St Huberts ‘Quarters’ or Domaine Chandon.
St Huberts: Offers a full bistro menu (approximately A$25–35), an indigenous art gallery, and optional wine and whisky tastings. Domaine Chandon: Features a lighter lounge menu with world-class sparkling wine and spectacular views. The group will be split if there is a division in choice.
- Domaine Chandon - Option 2 - Choose 1 of 2: Your first group choice of the day - St Huberts ‘Quarters’ or Domaine Chandon.
Instead of Huberts for lunch, you can visit Chandon’s ‘lounge bar’ where you will have 80 minutes to enjoy lunch/drinks at your own expense. Enjoy stunning views and incredible sparkling wines. Note that the food here is smaller and slightly more expensive than at Huberts Estate. It’s a great option if you have dinner plans later. Think: Oysters and cheeseboards. No steaks or burgers.
Domaine Chandon only serves sparkling wines. No beers. No wine. Nothing else.
Please inform us before the tour if you wish to have lunch here so we can make a reservation for you.
Note: The menu in their lounge bar differs from their main restaurant. The restaurant offers a 3-hour set menu which we don’t have time for.
It’s possible to stop here for a 5-minute photo opportunity.
Most people visit for a glass to enjoy the scenery, so 70 minutes is plenty of time!
