• My Son Sanctuary - Guests will be picked up from their hotel at approximately 5:00 am and driven for about an hour to the World Heritage site, ‘My Son Sanctuary.’ Upon arrival, a coffee will be provided, which may be taken to go. A knowledgeable guide will lead the exploration of the impressive towers built by the Cham people centuries ago. This sanctuary is a collection of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples, constructed between the 4th and 14th centuries AD by the Champa kings. The temples are dedicated to the god Shiva, known locally by various names, with “Bhadresvara” being the most significant. Restoration efforts by French scholars began in 1937, focusing on the main temple and its surrounding smaller temples. Unfortunately, many historical structures were destroyed during the Vietnam War, and this temple suffered damage from attacks. The visit to the site lasts approximately 2 hours, with a return to the hotel around 9:00-9:30 am, where breakfast can then be enjoyed.
