- My Son Sanctuary - Begin your morning tour with a warm welcome from your enthusiastic guide and driver, eager to introduce you to this remarkable site. As you travel southwest from your hotel or resort to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of My Son, your guide will share insights about the local life before you arrive at this must-see historical landmark.
A brief walk through a forested area will reveal the first red-brick towers emerging. Although My Son suffered significant damage during the years of conflict and war, enough has been preserved (and partially restored) to remain under UNESCO’s protection. The site features various temple ruins and relics spread across a vast field, where nature has sometimes intertwined, creating a unique atmosphere.
- Mỹ Sơn - Visitors to My Son often feel the energy of the Champa Kingdom. The walls are decorated with sculptures of gods, priests, animals, and scenes of mythical battles and devotion. The complex was originally designed as a place of worship for Lord Vishnu. At its peak, the site included over 70 temples and tombs, along with numerous inscriptions in Sanskrit and Cham that are historically significant, helping to narrate the story of My Son to all who enter its tranquil realm.
Your morning guide will ensure you have ample time to capture photographs of this site before returning to your hotel or resort, concluding this half-day exploration of the My Son temple ruins. Due to the often intense heat, this tour is only offered in the morning to avoid the midday sun and exposure.
