Enjoy an Adventure to the Mountain Kingdom - Fortune offered a fantastic tour to and from “the Kingdom in the Sky.” We learned a lot about Lesotho and the Basotho people, and the skyward drive through the Sani Pass was so scenic.

Great experience - I loved the trip to Sani pass and quick stop in Lesotho! The trip includes a lot of driving, but thanks to the many stops - our guide Fortune would also add some extra stops for pictures - the drive never was boring. We were blessed with great weather, so the drive up to Sani pass was truly spectacular. For me, the pass with it's stunning views was definitely the highlight of the day. The visit to Lesotho was quite short (compared to the overall trip duration), but still worth it and impressive. Despite the short time, you can see the local mountain live and the stop in the traditional village gives some more insight. Would definitely recommend it!

A Memorable Lesotho Adventure guided by Fortune - The Sani Pass Tour was an unforgettable adventure. Fortune was an excellent guide — calm, attentive, and very experienced. The mountain road was challenging but incredibly scenic, with spectacular views at every turn. Crossing the border into Lesotho and learning about local village life added a unique cultural touch to the trip. The whole day was well paced, informative, and truly memorable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for something special.

A must-do while in Durban - We were very lucky to have our skilled guide, Fortune, who had a lot of knowledge about Lesotho and the Basotho people - their culture and language which was very interesting. This is -with no doubt- the most beautiful country border I have been at. A memory for life!

A long day, but worth it to see the spectacular scenery and to visit Lesotho - We were in Durban to embark on a cruise, so we looked for a day trip while we were here. This agency was very responsive to email, and answered all of our questions promptly. I was able to pay the 50% deposit via credit card and paid the rest on the day of the trip, also via cc. Our tour guide Fortune arrived promptly at 6AM for our 13-hour tour. We made plenty of interesting stops along the way and he shared stories to make the trip better. The drive up the Sani Pass is spectacular, but very rough. It took over an hour to go the last 8km. Bathroom facilities at the South Africa border facilities are good, and definitely take advantage. The border crossing into Lesotho is straightforward. On the way back the Sani Pass was completely fogged out so it was good to have an experienced guide / driver like Fortune. This isn't a trip I'd want to do on my own. It was a very long day but well worth it.

Exceptional experience - This was definitely one the best experiences I've had in my 2.5 months in South Africa. The views were absolutely spectacular and my guide and driver Wonder, was exceptional. It is a long drive but the company had a very well maintained, clean 4x4 and Wonder was very accommodating to multiple stops along the way for toilet and snack breaks. Highly Recommend this trip with 1st Zulu Safaris

Don't believe a word this company says - Firstly, i had a great guide, and a lovely day was had. My problem is with the company. I booked through an agent in Durban. .the agent checked availability with the company, and my booking for Sani pass was confirmed for the next day. A whopping £250 euro was deducted. Moments later I received a text message that the jeep was due a service, and I could go the day after. I felt I had little choice, so I agreed. On the day of the tour, the guide mentioned he had done the pass the day before!!!!!! The tour was obliviously overbooked, and I had been bumped. Don't believe a word this company says.
