They don’t build them like that anymore - A lovely old house built 1909 very well maintained with all original furnishings and an incredible family story to go it. Our guide was very informative, well worth a visit.

Internationally inspired home built by affluent couple on Royal Terrace overlooking the city. - We had a fantastic knowledgeable and inspiring guide in the walk in this lovely home built early 1900s. We got to see all the floors and rooms and to each room we got good information - and in addition, the guide could well answer our questions. We walked around in an amazing garden that still today is looked after by a person full time - and it showed on all the nice flowering plants.

Great visit of a historic house located nearby Dunedin city centre - The 1-hour guided tour was perfectly staged by a greatly knowledgeable guide sharing the story and some secrets of the house and the Theomin family. Most of the furnitures are the original ones and very well preserved. Plenty of parking spaces are available in front of the house or in the adjacent streets.

Tuesday, February 11th, afternoon guided tour. - We were part of a bus tour shore excursion from Princess Cruises. We arrived around 2pm. We were guided to the home, then introduced to our small groups tour guide. We had Roni as our tour guide. She was wonderful. From the outside the home and grounds are lovely. The inside is amazing. What a beautiful home. Our tour rotated room to room, timed with other small groups in front of, or behind us. It worked wonderfully, and you rarely knew anyone was close by. The home tour, and grounds, were far better than what I was expecting. And our guide Roni was a big reason for that. There is also a gift shop inside, and restrooms in a separate building outside. Of course we had a great visit. Thank you.

Very interesting tour - The one hour guided tour of Olveston house is well worth doing when in Dunedin. The house is beautifully preserved and the information given on the tour is very interesting and informative. Our guide was great and the tour had a good pace. You are free to explore the grounds at your leisure and there is a well stocked gift shop.
