Grey Mare’s Tail - Half Day Canyoning Adventure. Meet your guide in the car park below the waterfall for your welcome meeting and equipment briefing. Once changed in to your wetsuits and canyoning equipment you and your team will take a short hike up to the canyon entrance. When all the participants have arrived at the canyon entrance, you will all receive a safety briefing explaining the techniques needed to traverse through the canyon safely.
When the briefing is complete participants will receive rope movement lessons.
now its time for the fun stuff the canyoning adventure, explore this epic canyon as you abseil, jump, slide, swim and zipline your way down water falls over rocks and through incredible hidden swimming pools. The final abseil of the day will leave you back in the car park where we started the day.

So Good We Came Back! 😊 - We did the Murray’s Canyon half day again this year for my partner’s birthday, having done it for the first time last year, and once again it was absolutely brilliant!
We enjoyed it so much last year that coming back was an easy decision, and Mike didn’t disappoint. It was another great few hours of fun, laughs, jumps, slides and abseiling, with plenty of encouragement along the way.
Mike is just brilliant at what he does. He makes everyone feel comfortable, explains everything clearly and gives you the confidence to have a go, without ever making you feel pressured. He’s also great with my son and has a real knack for bringing out his confidence, which makes a huge difference for us as a family.
It was a great way to spend my partner’s birthday and we all had a fantastic time. The fact we chose to come back and do the same trip again probably says more than anything about how much we enjoyed it the first time!
Another fantastic experience with Galloway Canyoning and Mike. We’ve now done four different adventures with them over the last two holidays and every single one has been brilliant.

Great! - A thrill-packed morning under the expert guidance of Joe, taking in scrambling, jumps and zip lines. Absolutely fantastical. Worth every penny of the fee.

Fantastic adventure with fantastic instructors - Absolutely amazing experience. We did this for my daughter’s 21st birthday and loved every minute of it. Real adrenaline rush ❤️❤️❤️

Great fun - We had a great time with our older teens on the river tubing. Couldn't get booked into the white water one but still enjoyed the experience with a few rapids, jumps and a slide. Mike was a great lead and we even had sunshine!

Sian and Kimmy’s adventure. - It was the most exhilarating two days, from tubing to canyoning . Our guides were beyond helpful , kind, knowledgeable and patient. We will certainly be returning next year.

A great afternoon falling in the river - My wife booked this canyoning trip for me and my 22 year old son while we were on holiday. I was a bit nervous - we'd done lots high ropes courses before, but I'm not much of a water person. However, the guides were welcoming and reassuring. You are asked whether you can swim 25m - the length of standard pool, but you'll not need to swim more than a few metres. You wiĺl be sliding or jumping into deep pools though, so should be comfortable with going under and treading water for a short while. The wet suits they provide are actually quite bouyant, so in reality you can just float around happily in the pools, which was really refreshing on the warm day we visited. Wet suits, socks, boots, harnesses and helmets are provided, with enough chaging robes for everyone. They even handed out sweets half way through!
The course was relatively short in distance, which meant not too much walking at the start, but packed in multiple slides, jumps, a zip wire and an abseil at the end. The guides seemed to be having as good a time as we were, which made it all the more enjoyable. They encouraged the nervous (er, me!), but also were able to modify the difficulties of the challenges if anyone did struggle. The group of vistors we ended up with were also fantastic, cheering people on, whether they jumped from 1 metre or 8.
Highly recommended, and we are already checking out their other adventures.
Tip - fill out their permissions forms online before you go, as they didn't have paper versions and I had no phone signal. They even had that covered though - setting up a hot spot so I could connect through their phone.
