• Dubrovnik Walking Tours - The Game of Thrones tours commence near the Large Onofrio’s Fountain within the Old Town, adjacent to the Hard Rock Cafe. Here, participants will meet a representative holding a red umbrella with the Dubrovnik Walking Tours sign. Once the group gathers, the guide will introduce themselves, and the 2-hour adventure through iconic TV show locations will begin.
• Pile Gate - From the meeting point, the tour proceeds towards the West entrance of the Old Town, known as Pile Gate. This location features scenes from Seasons 2 and 3, including the royal procession with King Joffrey facing the jeers of the hungry crowd, Joffrey’s order to his guards to execute the crowd, sparking a riot, and Jaime Lannister’s discreet return to the city with Brienne of Tarth.
• Kolorina - The path under the Pile Gate drawbridge leads to the docks of King’s Landing. Here, visitors can explore the beach where the royal entourage, including King Joffrey, Queen Cersei Lannister, Tyrion, and Sansa Stark, bid farewell to Princess Myrcella as she departs for Dorne. This is also where the Gold Cloaks were ordered to eliminate King Robert Baratheon’s bastards, and where Tyrion and Lord Varys discuss strategies at Fort Bokar to win the Battle of Blackwater Bay.
• Dubrovnik West Harbour - En route to the steep staircase leading to the Red Keep, the tour pauses at one of the piers in Dubrovnik’s western bay. This location served as a backdrop for some Blackwater Bay and wildfire scenes, as well as the conversation between Sansa and Shae about ships and future destinations before Petyr Baelish (Littlefinger) arrives to discuss his plans to help Sansa escape King’s Landing.
• Fort Lovrijenac - Fort Lovrijenac stands in for the Red Keep, a castle overlooking Blackwater Bay in King’s Landing, the capital of the Seven Kingdoms. It houses the Great Hall, a grand throne room with the Iron Throne, home to the King or Queen. Dubrovnik’s impressive fortress, St. Lawrence (Lovrijenac), was used for filming various scenes depicting the Red Keep’s quarters and exterior, including the Purple Wedding and the tourney on King Joffrey’s name day.
• Old Town - After descending back to Old Town, the tour explores the streets of King’s Landing, where the rebellion against Joffrey occurred following his order to execute the crowd. Discover locations from scenes after the Purple Wedding, including Sansa’s escape to a ship, Jaime’s return to King’s Landing, Littlefinger’s brothel, and where Tyrion converses with Prince Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper of Dorne, seeking revenge.
• Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola - This site marks the infamous Walk Of Shame, a highlight of every Game of Thrones walking tour. In Westeros, it is a public ritual of punishment and penance in the Faith of the Seven. A confessed sinner walks a certain distance unclothed, exposed to the public’s eyes and mockery. After imprisonment, Queen Cersei confesses to adultery and walks naked, accompanied by a Septa who repeatedly cries “Shame!” while ringing a bell to draw attention. A prime photo opportunity.
• Veliki Muo - From this point, the ferry departs for Lokrum Island.
• Lokrum Island - Enhance your experience by extending the tour to Lokrum Island, a lush natural retreat that served as the setting for Qarth in Season 2. This option includes all locations from the 2-hour tour, followed by a ferry ride to Lokrum, where visitors can see Dubrovnik’s official Iron Throne and learn how the island was transformed for filming.
