- Dubrovnik - The tour begins in Dubrovnik, heading south along the Adriatic coast, passing through the town of Cavtat and the Konavle region, before crossing the border into Montenegro.
- Bay of Kotor - After crossing the border, the journey continues along the stunning Montenegro coast, passing through the towns of Igalo and Herceg Novi, known for their impressive Turkish and Venetian fortresses, as well as Bijela and Kamenari. A photo stop is made at the Verige isthmus panoramic viewpoint, offering a magical view of Perast and the two small islands, St. George and Our Lady of the Rocks. There will be time for a coffee break to relax and enjoy the beauty of Kotor Bay.
- Perast - Following the stop at the Verige viewpoint, the drive continues along Kotor Bay, passing the charming town of Risan and stopping at Perast, located beneath St. Elijah Hill. The guide will highlight major buildings, including a visit to the baroque parish church of St. Nicolas, and explain the town’s rich history. An optional boat visit to the artificial island of Our Lady of the Rocks and its stunning 16th-century baroque church and museum is available (boat ride fee 10€ per person).
- Kotor Old City - The main destination is the UNESCO city of Kotor, nestled at the base of Kotor Bay and surrounded by the impressive verticals of neighboring mountains. The KOTOR CITY TOUR includes a private walking tour of the medieval walled city, rich in maritime and trade history, with a local licensed guide. After the tour, there is free time for lunch and further exploration of Kotor and its massive city walls, including the St. John fortresses, which rise 263 meters vertically from Kotor. Guests can enjoy lunch in the old town of Kotor or on the return journey in Morinj Bay at a secluded family-owned tavern, which is 250 years old and features a vertical backdrop and cold springs.
- Kotor Municipality - After visiting Kotor, the drive continues to the Trojica Mountain pass, offering the most impressive viewpoint in Montenegro, overlooking Kotor and the inner part of Kotor Bay from above. After enjoying the final view of Kotor Bay, the journey back to Dubrovnik begins, following scenic coastal roads and proceeding to one of the two borders with Croatia (the driver always selects the one with the least traffic). Once the border is crossed, it is approximately a 55-minute drive to the hotel in Dubrovnik.

If you’re planning a trip to Dubrovnik, don’t miss out on a special private tour to the captivating and historical land of Montenegro. We offer a day-long, guided tour from Dubrovnik to Montenegro, complete with a private driver guide and a cozy vehicle. We will pick you up from your Dubrovnik accommodation and embark on a picturesque journey along the South Dalmatian Coast. Crossing the border, we’ll drive alongside the coastline, admiring the scenic bays one after another, and the majestic mountains with their snowy peaks. You’ll get to marvel at the stunning ‘Bay of Kotor’, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, where hills plunge almost vertically into the Adriatic Sea, before stopping in the quaint village of Perast. There, you have the option to take a boat tour to a small man-made island home to the Church of ‘Our Lady of the Rocks’. Next, we drive to Kotor, a UNESCO city nestled in Europe’s farthest southern fjord, for a private walking tour guided by a local expert. Finally, a ferry will take you across the Bay of Kotor on your return journey to Dubrovnik.
