This tour encapsulates 1400 years of rich history, intriguing legends and fascinating oddities. The city’s roots were shaped by Slavs and Romans who transformed a small island called Laus into a bustling trade city of the Mediterranean, eventually blossoming into the golden era as the Republic of Ragusa - a phase that lends the city its unique charm today.
However, the tour will also shed light on the darker periods of Dubrovnik’s history. The destructive earthquake in 1667 that precipitated its downfall, and the French occupation that toppled its status as an independent Republic. In the 20th century, Dubrovnik rose again as a renowned tourist spot in Yugoslavia, only to go through brutal bombing during the homeland war between 1991 and 1995.

Fun, Facts, and Insider Tips - A fun trip trough the city with tons of interesting information. Davor is very knowledgable and also gave me lots of insider tips on where to eat, what to visit etc. 100% recommendable!

Great introduction to Dubrovnik and Croatia. - Enjoyed learning about the history of this beautiful country. The guide did a great job of providing background of the city from long ago to the present. A positive way of beginning your journey of the area.

Excellent Walking Tour of the Old Town. - We had an excellent walking tour with Ivo. He was friendly and very knowledgeable and delivered the history of the Old Town in an interesting way. We never felt rushed. Great value for money.

Fantastic introduction to Dubrovnik Old Town from Ivo. - Mum and I met Ivo, who was very punctual, at the information centre. We were the only two people on the tour so it felt like a private tour. Ivo was very knowledgeable about Dubrovnik Old Town’s history, including it’s most recent history.
During our tour, Ivo taught us some Croatian words and allowed us time to ask questions.
Would highly recommend this tour, Ivo held our attention and made it very interesting.
Thank you so much Ivo for being an excellent tour guide.

Dubrovnik magic! - The best guided city tour that we have done in any city in the world. Valentina, our local guide, was engaging, knowledgeable and funny. She was passionate about her city and country and this was clearly evident during her tour. We went to areas that other tour operators did not go that showed the history and culture of this city so beautifully. I highly recommend Valentina and her company.

Great walking tour - Our guide Ivo was great. My friend and I wound up being the only two on the tour so he answered a lot of our questions and gave us a great tour filled with lots of history. He was fun and we were very glad we booked this to learn more about the Old City.

Don't bother booking this, just go to meeting point and there are lots of companies doing walking tours - We could not find our guide so we never got the tour, Were there at 08:30am - well before time. We searched and searched. Ended up booking with Dubrovnik Tours so we paid twice. Tried to contact operator on the app and that was waste of time
