Beautiful, to do absolutely - Beautiful day accompanied by our guide Maria who is very professional and listening to all our requests and our super driver Pedro who has an excellent drive (usually I am sick but with him it was a real pleasure) I strongly advise to make this visit and also the one of Mostar/ Kravice with eu because it is the cheapest for the same services

Very nice excursion to Montenegro from Dubrovnik - It was a real pleasure to discover Montenegro and especially the city of Kotor from Dubrovnik. Our guide Maria and our driver were very professional. Maria shared with us a lot of interesting facts about Croatia, Montenegro and the history of the territories. It was really interesting. Once arrived in Perast, we had 40 min of free time before taking a small boat to see Notre Dame du Rocher. After that we took the boat back to Kotor The boat crossing is pleasant and allows to see the whole bay. Arriving in Kotor another very friendly guide explained several interesting facts about the city. A busy day Good management of timing and border formalities. We were lucky not to wait too long at the borders (30min round trip). Pick up close to the hotels is a real advantage because the excursion starts early. I recommend the excursion.

A change of scenery, but undecided whether it was worth it. - A very scenic drive to Montenegro from Dubrovnik. I must warn people that a one hour delay at the border is quite nornal, although you don't normally need to leave the bus. It was a change of scenery, but as you visit old Kotor, it is very tourist oriented, so prices are inflated. Unfortunately, you normally wouldn't visit the newer part where the locals would usually shop - so prices , being non EU are cheaper. To be honest, I found that Dubrovnik had more to offer.

The guide for the bus was... - The guide for the bus was amazing and made the trip. She gave 110%. The local one in Kotor was really hard to understand and hear, somewhat a waste and left halfway through. Would suggest to drop off the main group in Old Town first, we were sitting on the bus waiting for individuals to get dropped off who were only 5/10 minutes from the main point.

CAUTION- SCAM - Would not recommend this tour, super scammy. If I were to do this over again, I’d recommend just booking a Flixbus in to Kotor and back so you can spend a longer day there. Our tour guide Niko was a subtle scam artist. We start by stopping in Perast where he peer pressures everyone to get into a boat owned by his friend to go to the Our lady of the rocks island for 10 euros per person. Not worth it and he’s definitely getting a cut from his boat friend. Then we ushers everyone to a restaraunt, more intense peer pressure to eat there and get their almond cake and pomegranate wine. Overpriced, and there too he’s definitely getting a cut. Perast has very little going on and is honestly worth skipping. Too long spent there. Then back on the bus where Niko starts hyping up the next restaurant and how everyone will get a free drink and free dessert and you should not leave the group until you get the map but the map will be given at the restaurant. Poor tourists were falling for it, but he’s scamming you left and right. If you choose to go off from the group and explore on your own he treats you different. Kotor, only 2-3 hours is not enough. And then the ride back is the same way you come from. No stops for viewpoints or pictures. They tell you just to sleep on the way back. Not worth it for the price you pay. It’s basically you’re just paying for transit to and from Kotor with not enough time spent there.

Dishonest - We booked a day trip to Kotor from one of the stalls in Dubrovnik Old Town on the promise that this was a small tour and that all costs were covered. Alas, the day of the tour, our names were not on the list for the small mini-bus, but the large coach. Then we are told that tourist city taxes were still due. Feel scammed as we didn't get what we agreed and paid for. Beware - maybe better off booking the large tour online for a much cheaper rate! The tour itself was also rushed, always a feeling of "hurry up", "don't be late" etc. Whilst this may be true and time should be observed, that sets a rather poor tune.

Bait and switch - I booked a tour with a van up to 18 people. What I received is a tour with a bus and 47 people. Waited a couple hours at the border. Was over 12 hr tour vs 10. Unacceptable
