Would definitely visit again! - Self paced, lots of interactive bits, not crowded at all Sunday morning 🙌🏻. Comfortable, situated on historical building, great gift shop, covers so very many facets of Irish history, sport, music, inventions, politicians, impactful emigrants…..fascinating!

Fascinating but lacking something of a narrative - My husband and I went to this museum while on holiday with Dublin without our two kids - which was a real pity as they would have loved it as much as we did, if not more! We were in Ireland visiting my husband's Irish family so it was very pertinent. I found the individual stories fascinating, and I appreciated the focus on the push vs. pull factors of emigration, and the focus on protestant non-conformism which was unexpected! I highly advise people to really devote the time to looking through EVERY exhibit - where there are 4+ screens on both sides of the rooms they are often all showing something different. My husband and I went through every single one and we spent 3.5 hours. I also got the shock of my life to see a trad session in my old local pub on a very well done "Irish pub" display...small world! My absolute favourite discovery was the old American showtunes, which apparently included things like "Mosche Malone" and "My yiddisha colleen" - dying to hear the original crossover event of the century (and again, very relevant for us as I am early 20th century Eastern European British Jewish & he is Irish!)

Bravo - There is a reason this museum gets European museum awards. It was great. The first 5-6 rooms are a very powerful depiction of what it was like for real people during the Famine. History really comes alive. Well done. Bravo.

Informative and interactive - This exhibition that shows a lot about the reasons for emigration, many accounts of the Irish experience abroad - the good and bad. The Exhibits were Interactive, engaging and beautiful. A mixture of film, touchscreen, audio and some wonderful pieces of design. Very informative and I would highly recommended coming here.

Wonderful experience - Wonderful experience. So many great accounts of the Irish experience abroad - the good & the bad, and often the very surprising. The exhibitions themselves are very engaging and immersive, using a great mix of film, touchscreen, audio and some wonderful pieces of design. HIghly recommended. Great staff and service, too

Touching and informative - Touching and informative. I was enthralled through the history and the stories of the immigrants through famous Irish people. But I "faded" and did not stay long through the sports section....but, then I care nothing for sports! That's just me! Overall, a true experience I will value and remember. Gave me much more understanding of what my Irish ancestors went through.

Great museum to visit! - The Epic Museum is a 'must see' when visiting Dublin. It is extremely accessible and well organised. You probably need 2 hours to get the most out of your visit and there are some great coffee shops nearby!

Disappointing - As far as digital interactive museum experiences go this is well designed and very polished. But you get breadth and very little depth. The low point for me was the section on storytelling where we had a tiny segment on Sam Beckett swiftly followed by a segment on Terry Wogan - as if they were both figures of equal cultural consequence. Better a good walking tour or of course a well written book on the Irish diaspora.
