Our gastronomic tour covers a range of tastes from all over the Middle East – herb-infused green falafels and silky hummus from the Levant, mouth-watering Syrian dishes (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options included!), Arabic coffee with a hint of cardamom from the Gulf, and traditional Iraqi cuisine featuring either a large smoked fish conveniently equipped with tart mango pickle or succulent lamb kebabs (depending on the group size). Dubai Hidden Food Gems Unplugged! - Farida was outstanding. Her list of restaurants to taste authentic middle eastern food has been very well curated. The delicacies we consumed have been well thought out and represented a wide cross section of Middle Eastern cuisine. Farida also helped us gauge our food intake so we didn’t over consume and didn’t feel bloated at the end of tour. Highly recommended if you want to indulge in exquisite hidden gems of Dubai! Great job.. Farida!

Just do it! - We had a private tour with Farida and I have to say this was worth every penny and I would do this again in a heartbeat! The food was amazing and got me out of my picky eating habits! The food was truly incredible and Farida's knowledge was 2nd to none! I can only highly recommend doing any sort of tour with frying pan adventures as they make you feel more like friends than a customer. 👏👏👏

Food, history, culture, and FOOD - What a great introduction to food (lots of food) and culture of the region, and also to "old Dubai". If you are staying in the futuristic "new Dubai" you will find this multi-cultural area a great eye opener!! The only downside? The cloyingly sweet baklava we get at home will not taste so great. Farida introduced us to the real deal

Go for this if you want a memorable and unique experience - This was a wonderful way to experience an older part of Dubai, but more so, experience Levantine cuisine. Farida is so knowledgeable and very strategic with how she plans the tour, the historical narratives she shares as well as trying to rewrite stereotypes through food.

A tour of Levantine food. - I think this was one of the best food tours I’ve ever taken (as food tours are my thing). Farida was so kind and informative. I love the food. Fresh and delicious.

Delicious History - Nada was our food tour guide through what I would call “delicious history.” She was there ahead of time to greet us. We purchased our tour through a third party and, upon arriving, discovered some of the coverage offered through our package was, in fact, not offered. This was important because the language indicated we would be given headphones and communication devices needed to listen to Nada as she shared information throughout the tour. Without hesitation, she said she would sort it out, and at no additional cost, she could provide us with the equipment needed to participate in the tour. From the start, she was very personable and had a welcoming demeanor. She had great knowledge and history of the food she was sharing with us, combined with a light-hearted sense of humor that kept us all entertained throughout the tour. In addition to the food knowledge she shared, she also shared historical information about the areas we were walking through, so as we went from stop to stop, she was always engaging us and keeping us entertained. Excellent staff welcomed us at each stop and took the time to show us how they made the food we were sampling. We were also allowed to make our first meal. All the food was brought out to us and spread across a table, and they let us build our first course. For the second course, we were taken into the kitchen restaurant for a close-up look at how the dessert we were served was made. We had four stops in total and all of them included their own fun, history and delicious food. If you are in the area and choose Frying Pan, ask for Nada’s tour! She made this one of those unforgettable experiences where “time flies when you’re having fun!”

One of the best food tours - 10/10 recommend! - My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and it was our first time in Dubai. The food tour was our favorite part of our trip. Farida was able to convey her passion for the city and food culture through her stories. She shared the history of Dubai in a way that was easy to understand and the food stops were amazing. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys trying new foods and learning about a different culture. My husband and I didn’t know what to expect but we were happily surprised by the tour. I’d recommend coming to the tour with hunger so you can enjoy all the delicious food. Once again, thank you so much Farida for making this tour one of our favorite moments of our honeymoon!
