Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Following breakfast, the journey begins on the 4C highway, known as the “Road of Happiness,” with a photo opportunity at “Km0.” Departing the city, the route heads north, ascending the Quan Ba mountain pass and entering the Dong Van Geopark. The path leads to the Heaven’s Gate and passes the Fairy Hills. Lunch is enjoyed in or around the quaint town of Tam Son. The adventure continues deep into the Ha Giang mountains, reaching the charming village of Du Gia. Here, guests will stay with an ethnic minority family at their homestay, sharing dinner and breakfast with them. (Today’s itinerary includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Lung Tam Village - Post-lunch, a visit to Lung Tam linen village is planned. This village is renowned for its long-standing tradition of brocade weaving by the Hmong people on the Dong Van plateau in Ha Giang province.
Du Gia - Du Gia is a serene, lesser-known village in Ha Giang, primarily visited by travelers completing the Ha Giang loop over three days or more. The village is celebrated for its tranquil, untouched beauty, surrounded by majestic mountains and rice paddies. The local residents are notably welcoming and friendly.
Du Gia - Meo Vac - Nho Que River - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Dong Van Town
Nho Que River - After expressing gratitude to the homestay family, the journey continues north, traversing some of the most stunning mountain passes imaginable, leading to the town of Meo Vac for lunch. A boat trip on the Nho Que River follows, passing through Tu San Abyss Alley and alongside the Ma Pi Leng mountains. The day concludes with a climb up the majestic Ma Pi Leng mountain pass and check-in at a homestay. Guests have free time to relax or explore the Old Hmong village to learn more about local life. Dinner and overnight stay at the homestay. (Today’s itinerary includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Ma Pi Leng Pass - The Ma Pi Leng pass is Vietnam’s most remarkable mountain pass, standing at an altitude of 1,500 meters. It is situated between Dong Van and Meo Vac, two cities in northern Vietnam’s Ha Giang province, near the Chinese border. This road is considered the most spectacular mountain route in Vietnam.
The pass is part of the paved national road 4C, affectionately called “The Happiness Road.” Constructed in the 1960s by numerous workers, primarily ethnic minorities from the region, it took 11 years to complete.
Known as the King of Vietnamese mountain passes, the route is lined with cliffs and abysses, featuring numerous hairpin bends. The road along the mountainside offers a romantic, breathtaking landscape perfect for motorcycling. The ascent, often referred to as “the Great Wall of Vietnam,” resembles a scene from a fairy tale.
Dong Van - After dinner, a stroll to Dong Van Ancient Town is planned, where traditional music can be enjoyed, and cultural exchanges with local Hmong people can take place.
Dong Van – Hmong King Place - Yen Minh - Ha Giang City
Dinh Vua Meo - This is where the century-old palace of Vuong Chinh Duc, the King of the Hmong people, is located.
Yen Minh - Lunch is served at a local restaurant, with the journey passing through beautiful pine forests.
Ha Giang - The Ha Giang loop is a picturesque motorbike route in Vietnam, winding through majestic mountains and offering sweeping views of rice terraces.
