amazing show, amazing setting. could not be happier with my experience. please keep up the good work you are all doing!
What a great night! Perfect weather and the perfect setting for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Really enjoyed the show.
Had a great time. Awesome place to see Dracula at night!!!
The extremely rude audience members were not escorted out and their constant disruptions took away from the overall performance.
Getting tickets was very easy via the internet. The boat ride over was smooth and the captain and crew were very accommodating and we felt welcome and and safe. The director of the trust was kind, hospitable and informative. He gave us all the guidelines for safety on the island. The production of Dracula was great and entertaining. The actors did a great job. It was definitely an adventure and will be etched in our memory as a very unique experience. Being out on the Hudson River and on Batterman Island at night with a full moon witnessing Dracula was without a doubt surreal. We thank everyone involved with the Island and the production for their hard work and vision to provide the public with something incredibly unique and non-mainstream. It was an honor to be there . I was wondering as I was on the island if there were a security crew and a paramedic if issues should arise. There was a boisterous group of people who had been drinking alcohol and they were quite disruptive and rude to all involved. It would have been great if a security person was there to deal with the disruptions. The attendees had to tell them to be quiet . My two suggestions are to get a security crew and inform the attendees of this when they get on the Island and get a paramedic in case of a medical issue. I also think that rough terrain paths should be completely inaccessible at night and more lighting on the stairs, perhaps a couple of flood lights to ensure safely and prevent issues. It was an experience I will never forget. Thanks so much for all your effort.
My family and I had a great time! The Play was very entertaining and it was a terrific setting for “Dracula”
Organized, moved on schedule, great actors, good play for bannermans a little spooky, good atmosphere, feeling of an outside event,
Great show and we had a great time.
I have to say I had a lovely time. What an experience, to be able to watch such a wonderful show performed outside under the full moon on a cool brisk night! Such a beautiful Island and rich history. So happy we went and look forward to another show!
The play was condensed but very understandable and cohesive. The acting was so involving and well done. The setting was magnificent- there was even a full moon for the boat ride back to Beacon! There were refreshments available, but I didn't have any so i can't comment on that. A very unique and fun experience-
Incredible Island and Castle. A treasure in the Hudson Valley.
The boat ride to the Island, the setting of the play, the performance of the actors and the adventure of being on Bannerman’s Island were all terrific.. I did feel the script of the play was a little weak.... All in all, a very satisfying evening... have recommmended the outing to several friends...
On the second boat and it would have been nice to have a little more time to tour. As we were trying to tour the residence we really couldn’t because of all the stage furniture having to be brought in. Otherwise a truly unique and wonderful experience. We will do another trip to Bannerman castle. Thank you
Having better concessions and beer and wine options would have made the experience a notch higher
We had a great time! Thanks for all you did to make it so nice.
Crew wasn’t there to meet the ferry so we had to circle around a bit. The guy leading the tour on the island was mean. Very strict rules. The play was ok. Not worth the money.
The island was a beautiful setting.. the views & sunset over the Hudson River were breathtaking. The play was magnificent and the actors were incredible. The full moon and the bat flying trough the scenes were perfect. Great time !!
Great experience, seeing the caste, etc.
Great atmosphere for this subject. Professional performances. Loved the ferry ride from Beacon and the tour. Sunset view and a full moon. Thank you!
The boat ride at sunset was fantastic. The setting for the play and the talent of the actors were phenomenal. However, the play itself was rather boring. Being that the play was Dracula, I think it should've been scarier. It was pretty tame....
I had two rows of people in front of me and had trouble seeing the performers.
It is an amazing venue to see a production like this. A unique experience!
Quite obvious that a lot of work, organization and cooperation not to mention passion went into this event! It was wonderful and I look forward to more.
It was fun/interesting and different. The cast did a wonderful job
Great show-beautiful venue
Love the setting. Most aspects were handled very well. The "refreshments" could be better, though. Nothing I would ever purchase is offered. Sandwiches wrapped in cellophane and sodas/drinks. General junk food. Ok in the end, cuz we bring our own stuff.
I enjoyed the atmosphere but the acting in the production was mediocre.
Excellent night. The setting is amazing and the performance interesting.
Play was great. Seating terribly uncomfortable uneven ground and metal fold up chairs. The sandwiches sold, were disgusting and soggy. With all the great bakeries and food in Beacon, you would think they could do better then store bought cookies from your high school cafe.
This was a wonderful production held in an incredible place. I would love to come back for a full tour.
We didn't know what to expect since this was our first time we did this. I felt it was very well organized and loved the whole concept We will certainly be telling our friends
We enjoyed the cruise, the tour and the performance. The only recommendation would be a second boat so you don’t have to wait an hour at the end for a ride back.
We enjoyed a gorgeous late September night presentation of Dracula. It was a perfect night to enjoy the boat over to the island with nice warm night weather. As we all donned our own flashlights and lanterns, we ascended to the top and found our theatre seats at the castle. The breeze across the island as we sat outside and watched added to the eerie experience of the performance. To top off the evening, a talk about the history of Bannerman Island and the Castle was most interesting. The cast was amazing and captivating. I give a lot of credit and appreciation to those in charge. What a wonderful event that we highly recommend to all! We can't wait to return!
Venue was perfect for the play as was the evening. Weather cooperated. Boat ride out was fun. Didn't do the tour ourselves as we've been there before but friends we brought said the tour was very limited. Went to two spots and chatted. They had hoped it had been more information about the island. The evening however was excellent. Really enjoyed the show. Actors/actresses were professional and entertaining. Fun night.
It was a gorgeous night to sail to the island at sunset. The play was set against the backdrop of the castle house which was perfect for Dracula. The actors and the play itself was great and the weather luckily cooperated. A very lovely evening.
The setting was perfect for this type of play, but I thought it could have been used better. The backdrop of the "castle" suggested a great Gothic look. Perhaps using the building more posed structural problems? Some mysterious music at appropriate times (besides the wolf howls) could have added to the atmosphere. Most of the actors played their parts well, although some of the acting came off as "hammy". Understatement is always better. Lots of good energy though, but Count Dracula was not scary at all. Perhaps a different actor? The bringing of flashlights should have been encouraged. But overall a nice experience.
