Downtown Portland F Stops & Shutter Speeds Photo Tour
Understand your camera's settings on a guided photo tour of downtown Portland. Never shoot in "auto mode" again, as you learn essential photography techniques like f-stops, shutter speeds, depth field, aperture priority and more.
What You Will Do
- Learn shutter priority, freezing and blurring an action, white balance, lens selection, perspective, center point focusing, exposure compensation, composition and ISO
- Visit Pioneer Courthouse Square, Portlandia Statue and the Portland Building, Director's Park and Chapman Square
- See Lownsdale Square, Terry Schrunk Plaza, Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and the Portland Sign, Portland's Center for the Arts and South Park Blocks
- Guided photography tour
Please bring a DSLR or point and shoot camera, fully charged battery and backup–enough for two hours of shooting, enough memory cards for 200 images, any lenses or lens hoods you may have, such as wide, standard or telephoto, camera manual, and a lens cloth if you have it. It is recommended that you wear good walking shoes and proper attire for the weather (hooded raincoat, waterproof shoes, windbreaker). Children ages 13-17 may attend, but must be accompanied by a paying legal guardian. Guests should be comfortable walking 1-2 miles. A signed liability waiver required.
