We were greeted after a long walk by our very friendly tour guide. We were early, and we accepted her offer of water to help us refresh before our tour. When our tour started there was another large tour starting their tasting. They were having a great time, however they were very loud and it had a bit of a negative impact on our tour that was just starting. We were not included on the tour roster at first, even though we pre paid online. Not a huge worry, as our guide checked the email conformation and added us manually. We found the info about your products, and the process very cool, but I was disappointed that there were no whisky or bourbon options offered, especially after so much info about moonshine and bourbon during the tour. It just seemed a little bit misleading. We did enjoy seeing the production area and learning about the products you do produce. At the tasting we did like your rum very much. We didn’t try everything, and we felt like a taste of each would have been a great thing, instead of being limited to three choices. This may not be fair, but because we saw so many other distilleries on our trip we naturally compare and unfortunately your tour was the low spot of our trip. We just felt like the money we spent, compared to the other places we got much more value from the other tours. We hope this info will help you improve the experience for future patrons and we wish you all the best in the future.

We didn’t get to do our tour. When we got there, there was no one there to greet us. We walked through looking for someone and the path led to the adjacent bar, Irish Hill. When we got over to the bar, a group of people were leaving. We said hi to the bartender, he responded with “I hate my son. How do you fire your own son?” We were very confused and the bartender walked away to a table with 2 people at it. We assumed he was serving then and the. Would get to us, but after about 15 minutes of not being spoken to again, it sounded like they were having a meeting. About 5 minutes later, we left. I’m not sure if the bartenders son was supposed to be giving the tour or what but I would have expected to at least have been offered a drink while we wait at the least. I also expected for the bartender to have given some type of explanation. I’m glad we left because we had a great time with Jose at Haymarket!
