We rushed to arrive at 2:45 but no one was there to greet us or give direction. When we got upstairs there was a further wait for the remainder of a group of ten. This group dominated the tour and I think should have had their own private tour. I thought there would be more than four stops and more information about Jersey City. Also though the guide was a nice guy he repeated a couple times that this was the best food tour we’d ever go on—not the case. The food at Frankie’s and Porta was very good.

I frequent Jersey City often, inclusive to dine, but I decided to do the tour so I could learn about new places to eat. The tour was so much fun and I met some cool new people. I found several new places where I'll be going back to eat and the food and drinks were delicious. Alessia is engaging and energetic and I love the Jersey City history that she injects into the tour. The best part was the surprise she added in where we got to sample a new ice cream flavor, from a local ice cream shop. This shows what a great relationship she has with the local businesses that they work with her to really make this a fun 3 hours. I would def do this again and possibly in another town!

I had the most delightful time visiting Jersey City with the Jersey Girls. We started off at an upstairs room at Frankie's and ended eating the most delicious to-go dessert from Bang Cookies. And in between was Ani Ramen House, Porta, and Pasta del Cuore. Every venue was incredibly welcoming and offered more than the cost of the ticket. You can tell each of the owners/chefs that spoke with us had an established relationship with Jersey Girls. And not only was the food more than ample, so were the beverages. I live in lower Manhattan and go on a lot of tours in NYC, but this was one of the best I have been on in a long time. Thank you Jersey Girls and for Jersey City as a 6th Borough.

Alessia was an awesome guide - very personable and knowledgeable about Jersey City and the food scene there. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants we visited, the tasty foods we ate and the libations we drank. We had lots of laughter and conversation with Alessia and the other members in the group. The restaurant owner/chefs even spent time with us, sharing their stories and their love of food. It was impressive that a food allergy was addressed at one of the stops and a special food was served instead. This Jersey Girls Jersey City food tour was a great way to spend an afternoon into evening. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and look forward to experiencing a food tour in Redbank or Somerville in time to come.

The tour was an amazing indulgence of cultural history and palatial curiosity. My wife and I left the tour both intellectually and physically filled.
