Got to learn about Houston, see some interesting architecture and understand it's history, sample food at some great restaurants (one we will definitely return to), and see some other interesting spots.
Lisa was awesome and took care of the whole team. We never knew few histories about Houston downtown area. Union Bank Vault, Cotton Exchange, Jewelry exchange building, 9/11 memorial art, Rice building, First Casino in downtown, etc.,
Rick was an awesome guide and the food was great.
Guide seemed scattered, repeated a lot of the historic information which was not really relevant to a food tour. Food was tasty, restaurants did a good job.
Heidi was a great tour guide! The restaurants we visited had different styles of food to try.
Enjoyed trying new restaurants that we wouldn’t have thought to try! Also had lots of fun socializing!
Guide was great, but had 15 in our group, which makes it a little difficult to hear the information. Think about 8 per group would be a better number. Two out of four of our restaurant stops acted like they had no idea we were coming even though guide said she called ahead. All worked out, but a little awkward when you are trying to find a table for 15. Food was good. No beverages provided. Need to take the part about tasting craft beers off the description online for the tour. Otherwise, it’s a fun way to learn about Houston.
The tour guide was very nice and fun. Food was delicious. The history aspect was cool too.
It was a very good tour and our guide Rick was just lovely! The historic facts were great and the food was good quality. One comment is that there did not seem to be a reason/background as to why these foods/restaurants were chosen. Could be more tailored to stuff really unique/local to Houston.
Great tour guide (Debra), very good food, nice restaurants!
First, our guide, Rick, was Funominal! The history info: Great ! The food: Excellent! The ambience: Heartwarming! The diversity of the cuisine, the group, and the architecture, made this a remarkable tour! I would recommend this tour to Anyone willing to walk , talk , and eat ! BLShelley
I was very pleased with the overall experience including the historic facts, sights to see and variety of foods we got to try. It is nice that the tour begins a little early and have some happy hour drink specials. It was nice to get some additional restaurants to add to the list that weren't part of the tour.
Food was average. The tour guide was fine, but not great.
My daughter and I were left outside when she was not allowed to see an establishment due to the fact that she was not 21. It was surprising that we were not informed ahead of time and other arrangements could have been made. Other than that, we had a nice time. Thanks
