Fantastic photo opportunity of adorable penguins. - Wonderful experience and everything went smoothly. Collected by the driver and guide Marianna right outside the gate after disembarking the cruise ship. Two and a half hour drive to Punta Tombo. Our minibus was one of the first to arrive at the penguin colony so we practically had the place to ourselves and as we were leaving , the place was very busy with more buses arriving. Hundreds of penguins seen all along the boardwalk and at the ocean. Fabulous photographic opportunities. We spent two hours in Punta Tombo so plenty of time to enjoy the adorable penguins in their own habitat. Marianna was very professional, informative and helpful. She really ensured we got the best experience. A delicious and substantial box lunch was also provided. The driver did a great job getting us back to Puerta Madryn in time so we were treated to a tour of the city and a visit to the caves where the Welch emmigrants arrived. A fantastic day tour and highly recommended.

Cecelia is a star! - Great day out to Punta Tombo - Cecelia was one of the best tour guides we have ever had, so knowledgeable! The mini bus however was very cramped, probably one row of seats too many. It made the long journey there and back quite uncomfortable.

Punta Tombo trip for cruise passengers - Our group of 16 passengers were met at the end of the pier by a representative from Animal Tours and quickly escorted to our minibus where we met Cecilia, our guide. The minibus was clean and modern and we left promptly.
Cecilia, was excellent and very knowledgeable. She spoke throughout the 2.5 hours to our destination - Punto Tombo where we had gone to see the penguins.
There were enough comfort stops along the way and we were provided with an ample boxed lunch and 2 bottles of water after our visit.
It was the end of the season and many of the penguins had already gone but there were enough to take some great pictures as well as pictures of other birds and animals. We had around 2 hours at the park.
We had sufficient time before our cruise ship departed to have a tour around the town and a picture stop.

Best opportunity to see Magellanic penguins on the cruise! - Animal Travel put together as good a tour as we could've expected, with the time limit imposed by our cruise ship schedule. It was well worth the long drive to Punta Tombo to see the penguin colony. We had good opportunities to see individual penguins up close and see thousands spread out on the beaches and in burrows. We also saw guanacos and numerous other interesting birds. Our guide kept us entertained with information about the history of the area, the geology and the wîldlife. Oh, and we paid a lot less than the cruise ship was charging, and did it with a smaller group.

Great day!!! - We have made an excursion to Punta Tombo to see the colony of Magellanic Penguins, everything was great, very happy, very good organization. We arrived with a cruise with just enough time and perfectly adapted to the cruise schedules. From the first moment we made the online reservation with the agency they were attentive and attentive to everything and the organization. They were able to separate us into groups according to language, which is also very much appreciated. We had a driver Pablo, very good driver and professional. And above all our guide Leyla made the tour even better during the day, she is very nice, friendly, patient and very informed, she gave us a lot of information about the country, history, penguins, etc... and transmitted us peace of mind during the day so that we could enjoy the tour, she is very competent. And she was super attentive to everything and everyone. Thank you so much for the day we spent!!!

Outstanding trip to Punto Tombo, Patagonia - Our trip to Punto Tombo was one of the highlights of our trip so far. Hundreds of Magellanic penguins from adults to relatively young birds were literally metres from our viewing options. Our guide, Hugo, was both interesting and knowledgeable and shared his experience of living in Patagonia as well as his extensive knowledge of the wildlife. He made sure our trip got back to our ship in good time. I can recommend Animal Travel Puerto Madryn to any traveller.

Perfect for a small group - It was lovely, left the ship and a small group of us did this excursion through viatour, we beat the large buses from the trip to the penguins and got a quieter experience there. Guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out additional wildlife.
