Upon arrival, an entrance fee is required, granting access to an engaging Interpretation Center that explores the various stages of the penguin life cycle and its natural habitat. The most thrilling part of the journey begins here, as visitors can walk among the penguins along a 1.5-kilometer path. This path starts in the Patagonian steppe and leads to the coastal area where penguins come ashore to refurbish their nests annually and engage in breeding. The vast colony, with nests scattered everywhere, offers a truly unique experience. It’s a rare opportunity that few get to enjoy. Notably, the penguins peacefully coexist with small rodents, known as cuis, and occasionally receive visits from guanacos and choiques. After exploring the reserve, the tour concludes with a return to the city.
